There's no reason you can't actually.  :lee: Blender's easily customizable, so you can have all the tools (which require shortcut keys) to be placed on the toolbar itself, so you only need your mouse and nothing else (well you still need to use num-pad for switching views). I just don't know how to do that yet, but there's quite a lot of tutorials out there.

Just an update:

My eProject's coming up, my book needs to be rushed, and I need to have a decent portfolio prepared. Apparently because of lack of cash I can't focus on free projects at the moment, especially when I'm working solo, so forgive me if I drop this in priority.

However, I'll still be working on this, just not consistently. Thus I'll soon Open Source the project to the Compendium before I even have a decent Demo ready (this one is going to interest all you Crimson Echoes enthusiasts), giving you the opportunity to do what you want with it. The scripts will also be written by me and FaustWolf in our spare time with rolling releases.  :D

I've also decided to change Radical Dreamers - Forever Zero project into an original design, a super secret project for the sake of earning a steady cashflow. Of course, the videos would be free to watch and the game will also be released free of cost. But I've found a way to earn despite all that.  :D But the sourcecode for that too will be released under GPL license, so people can use the same engine and resources to make their own RDFZ sidescroller.

Sorry about all this.

Tushantin - over and and out!

Sorry for the delay, folks! Here's a present: a wallpaper! Levant and the Dragon!

Moving at full speed to have the first Alpha of the Visual Novel (plus animation) released. Stay tuned! I hope nothing hinders me this time.

Moonlight Reckoning Alpha build + Animation Cutscene!
« Reply #157 on: May 13, 2011, 06:30:23 pm »
It's now or never, guys! MAN, it took so long to upload this crap!

You can download the Alpha build here!  :D Compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux. Anybody in need of Android version, you'll have to wait till I get my own HTC Wildfire.

For those too lazy to download the game, you can watch a cutscene from it (in HD) by clicking here.

I will also release the Source Code pretty soon, just in case someone wants to contribute while I'm not around. Anybody can pitch in with art, ideas, script-writing, etc. without worrying about full-time commitment to the project! Even if you make just a single background image, you'll be credited.  :)

To-Do List: For any artist interested or enthusiastic enough.

1) Young Cedric concept art (wanderer in an Ice Age, Not-Yet-A-King)
2) Zeal Ruins (outside view)
3) Frozen Flame in Zeal Ruins (broken Mammon Machine pedestal) (BG image with Source Files)
4) Young Cedric grabs the Frozen Flame (part of the above, but this time included)
5) Young Cedric, holding the Frozen Flame, witnesses bloodshed; climax of a war.
6) Young Cedric's unbroken resolve. One rule. One Kingdom!
7) Warrior Cedric (Young Cedric with armor) giving a speech to his people
8) Anteus concept art / Facing camera scornfully / Facing camera in fear
9) Warrior Cedric eyeing coldly / Warrior Cedric's evil, maniacal face / Warrior Cedric blasting Anteus to Hell
10) Several images of Warrior Cedric and his people warring and conquering

Remember: For any artist trying their hand at the top To-Do list, besides the character art, any background painting has to be 1280 x 720 pixels, or any resolution with the aspect ratio of 800 x 480 (which will be included in the Visual Novel).

It seems to be coming along nicely. The animation in a couple places looks a little... I don't know what word is appropriate but 'slippery' comes to mind. Do you have a recently updated script? Heck, are you still trying to get full voiceover? Because if you are I'll have some free time soon (I think) and I'm still up for it...

XD I would like to fix it, but sorry if I can't. The animation will be left as it is for two reasons:
1) My tablet busted, and thus can't make corrections yet
2) With examinations and financial requirements, I won't be able to dedicate myself to the project as much. However, I'm not abandoning it either, as it will be a spare-time hobby and art/script-writing practice for me.
3) MR will now be a community-driven OpenSource project rather than Benevolence's alone.

Voices aren't necessary anymore, but are still optional. If you have something to contribute with, I'll find a way to put it in.  j_robot's voiceover clips have certainly helped in that regards, as it will be quite useful to make a full-awesome Ulfus cutscene with those.

How many more voices do you need?

Hmm we don't really need any at the moment, but as I said before, if you have anything to contribute I'll find a way to put it in. But that again depends on the script. Until then, you can take the auditions. XD As soon as inspiration hits me, I'll let you know.

I don't know what to make of that. Do you know which characters you have no voice for and audition lines you can link to or nah?

Dude, just take the auditions. :P Find the attachment here. Once you're done, let us hear it and we'll decide what characters suit you.

Despite what the second post mentions, the only person to have actually submitted a complete archive of voiceovers for Act 1 is j_robot, to whom I'm very grateful, while the rest (alas) couldn't find time or lost interest. This means that quite a lot of positions are still open but will almost only be utilized in cutscenes.

For instance, if your voice suits Falco, I'll make sure to write cutscenes for your voice acting. If it suits Cedric, the same goes here.

@Inwe: If you're still interested and do find time, let me know. There are a few scenes I've planned in, but still need to write it. x.x"

Yes, I am still interested and the only reason I haven't done anything is that the only computer I can use for recording is pretty much continuously in use by people who are not me (My computer has a really loud fan that can be heard in the recordings). When you've written whatever you need let me know and I'll kick everyone out of the house or something. I probably could do all of Lilith's lines, but if you can't get full voiceovers then I'll just do cutscenes.
