I accidentally found this, but I think it might help with listening to remixes for CE
I downloaded a new version of CT from gpemu.cjb.net to do more beta testing, but when I unzipped the file, it came up with a long list of things. I assume that each file in the 7z file is a different version of the game, and one of them was 'BS Chrono Trigger - Music Library (J).smc', and it's basically just a menu where you can play songs from the soundtrack... that one, however, is in japanese, but there's a 'BS Chrono Trigger - Music Library (J) [T-Eng].smc' which is in english

It seems like a really convenient way to be able to listen to remixed music, rather than going to the part of the game that plays it... I'm not exactly sure how to listen to remixed music in the first place, but is there a way to patch this instead of the actual game to listen to the music?

Geiger would have to write a program specifically for it, methinks, but if the CT music library works the same way as CT, it shouldn't be too difficult.

For my part, I just pull up TF and change the music that plays when you walk into Gato's exhibit.  Then I just go there in-game (easiest area to get to) and listen.  Actually I have a save-state just outside the exhibit, so that helps.

I tried loading it into TF, but it didn't work (I guess it only loads CT roms)
But can't you only listen to the song that normally plays in Gato's exhibit remixed that way?

Also, how do you listen to downloaded remixes? I can't figure out how to do it even with the normal CT rom

With Temporal Flux, you can just change the music that plays in Gato's Exhibit. =)

Also, you need an SPC player to play the downloadable mixes.
