Actually, why -did- Harle join Serge?
« on: January 10, 2017, 05:11:23 pm »
It makes no sense to join him just because he's in Lynx' body. The person inside was still Serge and Harle knew that.

The objective given to her by the Dragon God was also to retrieve the Frozen Flame. Wouldn't that have been much easier if she stuck with Lynx, especially since he literally just got the biological key needed to access the Flame?

It's possible Harle thought she wouldn't be able on her own. Hence rely on Serge, who wouldn't need that much motivation to keep going after him.

Not to mention, didn't she had voiced concern about Serge pressing on into Lynx's scheme and wanted him to turn back? Unless that was more on the concern of Lynx furthering his plan rather for an actual concern to Serge himself. So perhaps she did had some genuine interest in Serge as a person. Well, at the very least, it kinda seemed like by the time she leaves the party there indeed was, but back in the early stages of the game...

I never understood Harle's sudden love interest for Serge. Up until he becomes Lynx, she was just playfully flirting with him and taunting him, but then after he becomes Lynx, we get shit like her asking him to choose between her and the world, crying because she has to leave him, etc.

It felt really underdeveloped and because of that it never really touched me.
