The fix isn't quite ready, but I've got an update.

- At least one enemy attack was saved in your hack.
- There's a bug in detecting the fix for enemy attacks.
- There's another bug in my fix for the original issue.

I've got an update to Hi-Tech out. Resave Marle's Ice 2 and any enemy attack.

I did, and then conducted several tests.

Looks like a 100% clean bill of health, doc.

Tonight I went back through pretty much every area that still has regular enemies in it during the late game, and I only found one game lock situation.

There's a new area I made with two new enemies in it. One of them (Lamia, enemy #21) locks the game. There's also another custom enemy (Gnarler, enemy #3C) who I wasn't able to test due to the crash before it shows up.

If you've got a minute Mauron, please take a look.

Here are the only things changed since the previous patch:
  • All of the Techs that I wanted to modify are modified, and all of them are performing properly.
  • In Hi-Tech, I changed both attacks of enemy #44 into duplicates of Yakra's two attacks, because I want this enemy to be essentially a duplicate of Yakra. I think this edit is what caused the problem, but I don't know that for certain.
If you want to check the modified Techs for potential problems, they are:
  • Crono's *Lightning2 into *Life
  • Crono's *Life into *Lightning2
  • Marle's *Cure 2 into *Life 2
  • Marle's *Life 2 into *Rainbows
  • Frog's *Cure 2 into Frog Squash
  • Frog's Frog Squash into Nirvana X
But again, I tested these individually as I changed them and encountered no problems during that process.

I haven't looked at the crash yet, but you'll want to handle this change differently. There are not enough unique enemy attack animations to give each attack a unique animation.

  • Go to File -> Export.
  • Choose a file name, Hi-Tech as the App/Plugin, and Enemy Attack Graphics Header Attack 1.
  • Choose Slot 90 for Yakra and click Export.
  • Go to File -> Import, and change the slot to 44, then click Import

Repeat the process for Enemy Attack Graphics Header Attack 2.

Enemy 44 shares enemy attack animation 03 for attack 1 with Enemy #21. You'll want to restore attacks 03 and 3F from a fresh ROM (Export Enemy Attack Animations the same way), or an older version if you have Auto-Archive enabled.

Let me know if you need help with AI editing.

Okay, I had a post here about a problem I was having, but I have it no more!

The problem with the Lamia enemy is all cleared up, and my Yakra clone is now behaving (and looking) precisely as desired.
