Give ua a choice of being different charaters with different story lines, like in SaGa Frontier.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! NOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AYYIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...ok so maybe it could work if they do it vastly different than they did in SaGa Frontier.

But the memories...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want that, why not just play the Seiken Densetsu games? Or the SaGa games? I mean, it's a nice idea I guess...But it doesn't seem like the Chrono series to do something like that. It seems like too dramatic a series shift to me...

Also, if you gave infinite levels you'd have to make it so that you could only go up so high in a regular game or you'd have people who are super over leveling or w/e and after a while leveling up is pointless...I'd rather have a set cap that's attainable like in CT where you can get your stats at **.

I think perhaps AI should be advanced though. Perhaps when you beat it and you start a New Game+ it should also unlock a Hard Mode and following that a Super Hard Mode or something...Perhaps enemies would even have newer and better Techs...

Large amounts of characters rarely (if at all) works well. You just can't fit enough character development when the numbers get too high. Or, if you do then you're simply drawing things out for no real reason then to have a bunch of playable characters when all you needed was, like 6-10 or something...

you make some good points.... i wouldnt be opposed to level limits per game, like in the first game you can only go up to say..... level 50 then in the new game plus you get another 50 levels to go up, this prevents over powering while keeping the ability to play new game+ wish leveled up enemys that you can actualy get around, i mean if the enemys are leveled according to your starting level, then sure the first few parts of the game will be fine, but near the end of the game would be impossabel because you where ment to level up through out the game and due to the limits you werent able too....

my next idea ~~~

more battle speed options, asside from the active/passive options, how about an option where, after you select the attacks your party attacks all at once? this would speed up the battles even further then the FF option in CC

i dont want to see as much "forced" combat in the next game, the three types of enemys that force you into combat can realy get annoying, these three are:

fallowers: once they see you they will fallow you to the ends of the earth untill you touch them

blockers: those darn non boss enemies that block hallways and such just to get in your way( this was espically annoying just before the fight with fate cause there was no save point in the room and they would respawn)

fallers: these guys either fall or appear right ontop of you, sure for bosses its alright, but for little chicken s*** enemys its just a big hassle and waste of time

I'd like to see the future Belthasar shows in the fake Viper Manor (Terra Tower). It was a beautiful picture (I'm playing again through New Game+ to see it again).

V_T, are you saying multiple difficulties that can be decided when starting a game, like Normal, Hard, and Very Hard? Cool! I'm not against that, as long as they employ New Game + as well.

Maybe something where it's normal to beat the game without New Game + on normal, very hard to do it on Hard, and takes an INCREDIBLY long time and alot of actual strategy to do it on Very Hard, while if you were play each difficulty progressively with a New Game + each time if would be the same as playing it on a normal difficulty every time, you know?

Hmm...

I think that the Hard Modes should still be locked in the beginning though...I mean, once you beat it, it'd be available for both New Game and New Game+ depending on how you wanted to do it.

I don't remember there being that many forced battles in CC...Certainly not as many as CT...I mean, in CT, normally it was just certain areas that forced battles and you could find ways around some, but not all...In CC you could run away from or around a lot of the enemies...

Or maybe, just maybe, i have an idea that might work. Its pretty crazy, but, you know, so is the whole world. What we do it...we make it have 6-8 characters, each with their own storyline, and we put them on some sort of...quest i think its called, and we make them kill monsters and shit...and yeah.

In other words, just make it a wonderful single player experience without gimmicks.

Or make it gimmick filled

i think you just described every single game on the planet...

but prehaps in new game+ an option to play a "what if" mode for all the "side characters" would be fun, espically the characters you get late in the game, see what the heck they have been doing all that time

Make it more like in Lost, where the characters are talking and then, WOOSH! You are in a flashback!

I know! We will play as Crono, and then suddenly there will be a flashback, and we will play CT all over again! *sarcasm* But wont a flashback mean you will know what happened? Isnt ffx a flashback for a while? Where is my sausage?
