Now now, no need to be harsh. Besides, what I was saying was that as your paragraph continued, each of your sentences didn't really connect with the one previous. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I really don't see what you mean, I thought it flowed nicely myself.

I'm mostly talking about how the first couple paragraphs talks about how Lavos isn't necessarily stronger in the past than later on. Then you start talking about the Mammom Machine waking it up and all that. I think all you needed was a new paragraph line or something, but that was why I was unsure.

Ok, I understand what you're saying. Lavos, in its own abilities, does not get stronger from absoring the DNA of the planet. That's easily acceptable.

But my point is: the fact that Lavos gets all those abilities from all those bosses DOES make it overall stronger, right?

Most definitely. I mean, as they came about over time, he absorbed their DNA and absorbed their abilities, he didn't have those abilities before (at least, that's what I'd assume), now he does, therefore he's stronger. That may be part of the whole plan too, to absorb abilities and powers, making him grow stronger and more powerful which makes it all the more difficult to defeat him.

Sweet! I love finding middle ground, it's so refreshing.

I think it's strage that Lavos doesn't fight you with the 65,000,000 BC and Giga Gaia bosses when you fight it in the OP, since those beasts already came around and died...strange, isn't it? Maybe Lavos can choose whether or not to use those methods, or maybe the reason you don't fight them in the OP, using the Epoch, or transporting through the Telepod in New Game + is because Lavos was caught off-guard, while fighting it after the BO or on the ground gave it a bit of time to prepare to fight?

*shrug*

That's what I was referring to earlier. What I said was, during the OP incident, he was awakened and he was probably very pissed off. They brought the Mammon Machine to the Ocean Palace b/c since they were in the ocean, probably close to the ocean floor, they were in a sense, closer to Lavos. Now, the Mammon Machine sucked power out of him and that's why they all had magical abilities. I guess when Schala raised its power, the energy surged, which is why we see her basically faint from exhaustion and because of the "wild energy." She couldn't handle it. And it might have surged further when they failed to destroy the Mammon Machine. This woke Lavos up. So like I said, he came out of his PD, kicked Crono & Co.'s ass in the ensuing battle, where we all know Crono dies after making one final attempt at Lavos. Then, in his rage, he comes up just long enough to destroy Zeal, then he retreats back underground.

Basically what I'm saying is, while he was powerful and very strong, it wasn't time to defeat him yet, so he didn't bother using his full power to fight you, probably because he didn't feel as threatened as he was pissed off. Hopefully, that makes my previous points a little clearer.
