Huge thanks for updating Vehek.

So the pattern is...

Size 0
Value: 0x00
Normal Hex viewing window (16-byte rows)
4 Tiles

Size 1
Value: 0x01
Double Hex viewing window (32-byte rows)
8 Tiles

Size 2
Value: 0x02
Normal Hex viewing window (16-byte rows)
12 Tiles

Size 3
Value: 0x23
Double Hex viewing window (32-byte rows)
24 Tiles

And Size 3 is the max sprite size? There were some really weird sprite size values for flying enemies (Bellbirds and such) in Chrono Tweaker as I recall, and I'm not sure what was up with that.

EDIT: Observed values added per Chrono '99's observation below. It's possible that only the second nybble of the observed values recorded herein are actually responsible for determining number of tiles, whereas the first nybble may control some other aspect of the sprite.

The Lavos Spawn shell is Size 3 but has a value of 23 (in hex) for its sprite size. Maybe the second half-byte is the actual sprite size and the first half-byte is something else?

That would probably explain why I thought the flying enemy size values were weird. It would be really rad if the first nybble controlled animation (since Size 3 sprites observed so far do not have animations enabled per conversation elsewhere).

Bumping this to the first page because I keep losing it and desperately need it's help. I'm trying PC insertion. Curse you sprite assembly.

It's overall not that bad, though, by raw hex it is a pain.  There was a mini editor.. I think Chickenlump did way back, minus that, there IS a Japanese program that was semi-translated.  Chrono Chara Viewer I think?  Makes it a lot easier to handle sprite assembly though I'm not sure if it's bug free or not.

Thanks! Yeah I have Chrono Charaview and Vehek has been helping me a lot along with other compendiumites I'm just technologically impared. My biggest issue at the moment is the bug. On the 2nd page of chronocharview it doesn't let me click. Vehek, you told me the only way to place those tiles is by editing the data in the "Tile info" box, and I have to know the tile number.

Can you or anyone give me an example of this?

It's not like when I was editing the tilesets and had to use a hex editor to get the packet numbers right?  It's something much simpler like the tile number of blank out of blank. (16x16?)

I'm a visual learner so when I read tile number my mind jumps to so many different things. XD

Also does anyone have the one Chickenlump did?

Chrono Charaview is the better one out of them since you can get an actual 'visual' of what you're seeing.  If needed though I can upload Chickenlump's.. or Geiger's.  Honestly not sure who did it, I'm pretty sure it was CL.

Oh! than I best stick with Chronocharview if it's more visual! Turns out I was over thinking it! I think I got it!

I know I ask this a zillion times, ...how close are we to having this as a Temporal Flux plugin?

Reason I ask is I'm polishing the TUTORIAL VIDEOS, and would like to have as much content as possible...
