It's hard to tell whether it's metal or whatever.

I would think it safe to say that Masa/Mastermune is made of metal, maybe with dreamstone enforcing it or, indeed, made of dreamstone(Dreamstone possibly being a refineable ore, from which a metal can be extracted.).

Mmmh... The Pearly Gates is in Home World and the battle against Dario at Solitary Island is in Home World too. I don't get your point. Are you saying that the Masamune can't teleport but can cross dimensions?

Oh. Didn't know that. Well, maybe it COULD cross dimensions O_o meh, forget it.

It's gotta be Dreamstone.
Why else would you need to find some in the apst to fix the blade?
The hilt was in good condition, it was the blade that had been damaged.

Yeah but we's asking about the Mastermune/Sea Swallow...

I don't think the Masamune changed its substance, so the mastermune would be dreamstone+stuff of seaswallow(whatever it's made of..prolly metal)

The Mastermune could be whatever the Sea Swallow was, magically enhanced by the three spirits.

I thought the Masamune and the Sea Swallow fused, not just Masa, Mune and Doreen changing their "place".

But we clearly see the Masamune get destroyed. And if they did fuse, you have that negative energy to worry about.

I didn't see it get destroyed, I just remember the Sea Swallow flying up to the Masamune, then the Mastermune appeared.

I thought they killed the evil force via defeating dario, and after it was defeated, Masa and Mune did awake, but I'm not sure...(Don't ask me for any prove, because i just played the game once half a year ago or something)

The Masamune does float in the air and suddenly explodes, and after that you don't see the sword anymore but Serge's swallow. You might have forgotten maybe (I didn't even notice until my fourth playthrough or something). What really makes people not think it got destroyed is what the characters say after the "explosion":
Quote
Radius:
   Hmph!
   It appears the Masamune
   found a new master.

Karsh:
   What!?
   Lynx!!!?

Radius:
   Do not panic.
   Look around you.

Riddel:
   Birds...!
   The birds that fled
   are coming back!

Radius:
I no longer sense the slightest
bit of malice from the Masamune.
There is no more fear of
   succumbing to its enmity.

They speak totally as if the sword was still there, even though we do see it go boom. So... maybe the explosion was the sword's evil form getting destroyed, and there was the normal sword after that that the lazy developers just didn't showed (they were even lazy enough not to show Masa, Mune and Doreen :x ).

After all I said in my previous posts, I start to think the sword didn't got destroyed but physically fused with the Sea Swallow (would be such a shame if not!).

Or perhaps because Masa and Mune are the essence of the sword, they're all that define it. O_o Thus, the Masamune in their conversation was referring to an allegorial form they'll take in the Sea Swallow.

Hmm...I fought Dario with Serge...*shrug*

Yeah, the Mastermune is Masa, Mune and Doreen inside the Sea Swallow. I remember the sword exploding, too.

Thats what it is.  Remmber, in CT, when you went to get the Masamune, and you approached it, it disappeared and you had to fight Masa and Mune.  Then, after you defeat them, they merge to for the broken sword.
