Does this necessarily mean he can actually watch any time period or specific events from the pillar of lights? Seeing as he can tell you about sidequests in diffrent periods I'm guesing he can.

maybe he can, but just realy dont know what to do....hmmm it like the time travel paradox that you cant go back to stop yourself from doing something in the past because if you did stop yourself, then you wouldnt have come back to stop yourself.....speaking of the time paradox maybe this would be a good thread....

I think you're guessing right. He said that he's had 'glimpses of events', and seeing as you always find him snoozing I'd figure he checks on things every once in a while (except for when it's exceptionally pressuring like, you know, the last battle, where he's probably giving a lookout on everything), but most of the time sleeps.

He's an old man. For all we know he's seen EVERYTHING but is too senile to remember.

And ugh, I was thinking 'Oh, no, Gaspar's a stalker...' when I saw this thread's title. -_-

wow, thats really somethin.......i hope they think about gettin an apprentice so that their work would go on and not be wasted when they die.....these old folks should think about it......
