That's because humans have a very adaptable brain that can be molded any which way, but has little inborn programming - at birth, a human child is helpless, whereas many animals can walk and function very quickly. No. Why? uhm...Because they can think like every other humans(even if not as abstract or experienced or whatever)...I think.Do they behave stupid? Now that is a different question, but it is based on the circumstances they are in I would say.
