If you have the Black Plate, equip it on Riddel and give her Ultranova.

Really, once you have the Black Plate on here, Dario isn't that hard. He usually only attacks her anyway.

I'm surprised nobody has suggested the black plate.

Yep, he won't use it if you use no white elements. And congratulations on your victory. Enjoy that Grand Dream/Mastermune. You've earned it.

I would have suggested:
Buy a few magic-nullifying-white thingies from Guldove, give them all to Riddle, and have fun blasting him with Ultranova from Riddel, holy light from the other 2(just don't forget to recast the magic nullifying thingy). That way, you can beat him the as early as possible(even before you fight all dragons).

You can beat him before the dragons using the Red element strategy too

I think the red element strategy is much less fun and challenging, but do whatever suits you  :D

Odd...I beat him on my first game the in three tries. I missed the black plate cause I didn't restore Marbule. I just depended on Diminish, and increasing attack for my characters. Barely survived with Viper. What made it worse is that I had not even played with Viper's daughter at all, so she was basic. >_>'

I don't understand why people are having so much trouble with Dario. I don't want to brag or anything but I think it was quite easy to figure out his pattern. And since he has a pattern I don't understand why there are so much different strategies around. I beat Dario after I had defeated my first dragon and I didn't have black plate or any other special piece of equipment.

To make it simple: Split all your red elements with three party members. If you don't have enough to fill your grid you can also use blue elements (Dario counters them with another status modifying element) or you can buy more red elements. You should also give every character one Revive element just in case. Then just keep doing weak attacks and use your blue/red elements. You can also use Fargo to steal Pendagon sigil A. My characters weren't very high level when I beat Dario and I used pretty much every element I had. It's quite long battle but shouldn't be too difficult.
