Well...Can you think of a plausible alternative to what he did? Do you believe it is okay to sacrifice a few people to save the world?
Said plausible alternative would have been using the original Heroes of Time instead, as they did not need to be empowered, unlike Serge. Furthermore, I have no idea what the second question is supposed to mean nor do I see why I should answer it.

Well, the Neo-Epoch was damaged, right? Maybe Beltha was stranded, and had to resort to using Serge...We also don't know if the machine was restricted to only travel to certain times, which is why he would not be able to get the heroes before their death. What I mean with the second question is that in essence, Belthasar sacrificed a lot of people due to his manipulation, in order to save the world. So is it right to sacrifice a finite number of lives in order to save many more?
