Hot off the press -- at an ad-hoc Square-Enix press conference, Masato Kato announced a Compilation of Chrono series to be released on various platforms including the WonderSwan, Nokia Cellphones, and the Jaguar -- for maximum accessibility to US fans. Chrono Beak and Chrono Bear have already been announced at the GameFAQs Chrono Cross board, so I'll leave you all to check those out there. THIS report is a Compendium exclusive. The Compilation of Chrono will be capped off by Chrono Beef, with Kato on scenario design and directing. He has been gracious enough to release early concept art:







Talks are ongoing for getting a port of Chrono Beef on the Wii; apparently there are outstanding legal issues surrounding the creation of a spatula-shaped Wiimote especially for the game.

Kato has stated that the number of C&Ds received by Chrono fans makes it patently obvious that a Compilation of Chrono is long overdue. Yasunori Mitsuda was unavailable to comment on whether he would reprise his celebrated role as Chrono series composer; apparently, he was out for a burger.

I already predict the plot:

(Insert main character name here) goes on a fantastical adventure through time and dimensions to find out what's for dinner. Obviously, it's going to be a Chrono Beef.

The game's plot:

Lacow (meaning "Big" and "Cow') will invade the Kitchen of the Nearest Sonny's Barbeque, which holds they key to all meats: The Chrono Beef. The Main Character, Crono Mcdonald, must go on a flavorful journey through space,time, and backyard barbeques to find the Time Egg.

The final battle will consist of frying the Time Egg and throwing it at Lacow's mouth, thus transporting him to All Darkness Beyond Time and preventing him  from ever coming into existence.

Sadly, Crono Mcdonald must Sacrifice his life to perform this noble task, giving the game a touching ending.
