i agree that his ORIGINAL chrono cross design wasn't too bad...  but once he became guile...  once guile was created, i mean (seeing as how guile is not magus), he just became another character to the already ginormous list of playable characters.

guile was such a ding ding dong.

I think it's funner to think that Guile IS Magus, just with only half the story. Like they scripted him with Magus in mind, but changed only the name and what they tell the fans at the last minute. When you look at the lines, they seem very "Magil" like, if not Magusy.

...So you get a Magus that drinks and goes on fun time magic adventures.
