i cath the rat he gives the password then i go to the table with shining i press L+R then i press A
and nothing happens

i have snes9x
i dont know were to put those codes

This is a result of keyboards not inputting multiple keystrokes at once. Turn on these codes in your emulator, and press A at the console:

F69B3010
F69B3103

These codes modify the game content (instead of memory), so they can be left on all the time. Thanks to Geiger

Get ZSNES then. It's better than snes9x 9 times outta 10.

Zsnes kinda has issues as well.  I usually use ; and ' as L and R buttons and it worked fine but for some reason they don't work in that area so I have to set them to a different. key or something.

Meh, as long as you have the lastest update of ZSNES, you shouldn't have any troubles...When I said 9 out of 10, I was basically covering if you happen to DL an older version for some random reason...

well i try doing it
it doesnt do it
i stan looking at the console
ipress d(l)+c(r) and then i press A holding d and c
and doesnt do a thing

ZSNES has a feature (snes9x probably does too) where you can assign multiple buttons or combinations of buttons (or, hell, even whole moves like I did for Sabin/Mash's Blitzes) to one button.

Load zsnes, click Misc, then Key Comb...rest should be able to be figured out.

snes9x is fine, i honestly found zsnes to be worse.

change you keyboard config back to default for that bit, otherwise it doesn't pick up that you presses all the buttons.
odd bug but it only happens in CT at that very event...

and using Zsnes to macro inputs is cheap in so many ways.

The only Snes9X I ever use is Geiger's SNES9X Debugger for specific uses.  I prefer ZSNES overall.

I simply set one key to be both L and R for that one point in the game. I set it back to normal afterwards. However, that's on ZSNES, not 9x. I can only reccomend you get the Z, my friend.
