No. It adds to the meaning of the piece. It's the difference between an alternate translation of, say, The Illiad (one that allows the reader to have a fuller understanding of the book) and a copy of The Iliad with dick jokes spattered about. One's good for a laugh, but then you get tired of it, since... well, it's hundreds of pages of dick jokes. The other adds depth. Sorry for coming off as an arrogant prick, by the way - I didn't mean to criticize this hack so much as suggest ways to better it. By adding to the plot or experience of the game by reworking the storyline/gameplay/layout, the player has a reason to strive to complete the game outside of getting some kicks out of it.
