Fan-made CC Novel in the works (Not a Novelisation)

For a while now, I've been thinking of writing a Novel (or extermeley inflated fanfic either way you look at it) About the events that transpired right before Chrono Cross, centering around the fall of Gaurdia, Lynx/Wazuki and Harle, Belthasar and Schala, what happened to Magus, and the Time Devourer.

It wouldn't actually be one story throughout the book, but a collection of short stories centering around the events which set the stage for Cross. What I want from you guys is some topics I should hit, if I haven't already. Any ideas?

Nothing is better for writing practice, IMHO, than the fanfic. What time span do you plan to cover? I suppose it would be interesting to take a look at how the heck Kid traveled back in time to save Serge from drowning in Home World, but that's only if you cover up to the year 1010 I think.

Yeah, I'd just call it a CC prequel fanfic...Chrono & "novel" has a bad taste in my mouth already...Sounds like a neat enough idea, I guess. Do you think you can make it interesting, though? I can't even think of a way to just explain what all was happening in those times and have it keep my interest...but, hey, it's a fanfic, so you'll fill the gaps how you please...and what do I know?

There's a lot of ground you could cover!  Be adventurous!  Use convenient (but believable) cameo's!  Make it interesting and a nice balance of adventure, horror, comedy, drama, romance, etc.

I'll be covering many different time eras, and thats definitely one I'll keep in.

Same here. Whenever I se a fan project dealing with hefty literature and the Chrono series, it's usually dead or dying.
