An Cinnuint -- Yasunori Mitsuda's sountrack to Tsugunai
« on: January 18, 2008, 01:09:02 pm »
Strange that I haven't brought this up long ago, but I'm listening to An Cinnuint right now and was wondering if you all knew about it already. Some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard, which is typical of Yasunori Mitsuda's work. It feels sort of like the Xenosaga OST, only with a much heavier Celtic influence.

Here's a link for those who may not be familiar with this soundtrack:

An Cinnuint samples are at the bottom of that page. Unfortunately the samples don't show off the best parts of the soundtrack IMO. Definitely give samples #1-2, #1-20, and #2-18 a whirl. The full version of #2-18 I find extremely inspiring.

Never heard of this before, but I seldom go seeking out music. Which is somewhat sad I guess, because the radio definitely doesn't give music justice.

This definitely is great work, not to be unexpected from him, that really makes me feel like I have stepped into another great RPG. Is it actually from a new RPG?

Thanks for sharing his work with us. I appreciate just the samples lol.

An Cinnuint is the soundtrack to a PS2 RPG called Tsugunai: Atonement. I've never played it but it does look interesting. It's about body switching and so forth. It was done by Atlus and not Square apparently, and in 2001.
