I Dreamt About 'Chrono Trigger 5'

So since I've joined the Compendium I've been thinking more and more about all things Chrono...  I go through these periods when I eat/breath/sleep all things Chrono.  And every time I get into one of these moods I work on the premises for these Chrono sequels I have in my head.

So last night I was lying in bed thinking through the game-script that I had been working on before I went to bed, and as such, I had a dream that there was a new Chrono game and a full-length movie to act as it's prequel.

The dream only showed the movie trailer, and it began by showing two little kids standing in a high-tech city.  Suddenly, these organic looking ships (I remember that they looked like screaming alien skulls, and the lazers were coming out of their 'mouths') came down, and one of the little kids got taken up by the ships.

The narrator talked about how the two brothers became seperated; one of them was kidnapped by the "bad guys" and eventually went on to become the leader of the villains, while the game/prequel movie were based upon the adventures of the other brother.

Sometime in the dream it showed a guy who looked like the blond-haired, bandana-wearing man from Final Fantasy XIII and the actor who played him was Owen Wilson.  I remember in my dream saying out loud, "they put Owen Wilson in a Chrono movie?!?!"  His character seemed to be a sidekick to the main character and was mostly for comic relief.

Then it showed the organic space ships coming back and destroying a city.  One of the ships landed and out stepped the leader of the bad guys (the brother who had been taken), and he was all decked out in these outrageous robes that sort of looked like the robes of Queen Elizabeth II (as in having a ginormous collar).  The main character and his party suddenly ran up to the ship and both brothers unsheathed their weapons to fight.

Then it faded to black and the narrator said, "Coming soon, Chrono Trigger 5".

And that was it.

Just thought I would share.

PS - If anyone is interested in helping me flesh out my storyline for a POTENTIAL Chrono game, PM me.  At this point it's all scenario and script-writing.

Man, you too?  :o I think all Chrono fans go through these things. No way to cure it but put your thoughts down on paper.

Your scenario is intriguing. Are these alien ships related to Lavos in any way? And will this scriptment involve Toma Levine?  :lee:

Indeed, I would be quite surprised if there is any Chrono fan that didn't, at one point, imagine a sequel to the series in a fit of passion.

They DON'T involve alien spaceships.  One would be a Chrono prequel and standalone game that would act as Chrono's "Crisis Core" - but better done and not a cash cow.

One is a direct sequel to Chrono Trigger that happens as a result to Chrono Cross's enigmatic ending.  That game would sort of have a Kingdom Heart's type ending, where the last thing we see would let us know that the story isn't quite over yet.

And thus there's the last story line: Chrono Blue.

I had a dream about the Chrono Series once:

A red haired man, maybe about 40 years old is walking down the aisle of a church, blindfolded  and mising his left arm.

A strange black creature, that seemed to have the characteristics of a Heartless but more human like, was at the altar, drinking the blood of what appeared to be a tiny lavos spawn which he had brutally slaughtered.

The Red haired man unsheathes a Katana that was strapped to his was and said something like,

"You were a mistake. You needed to die that day."

The black figure hissed something that sounded like "fate is dead, I win"

Then they rushed at eachother and I woke up.

That whole separated brother thing sounds very Final Fantasy II...:/

Also, I thought there was a dream thread somewhere...? Maybe not...*shrugs*
