I don't know why I haven't seen anyone do, like, a game diary of it or anything (that's not what this is! dont' run away!)...but since I've only just been able to play it a few months ago (I never could have just read through the script, sorry), I figured I might as well make this topic as I play it. I've been taking quote notes that I find interesting or whatever (along w/all the Magus quotes in case I ever get back to writing Magness...V_V)...so I thought I'd share...
Ah, I didn't catch the quote, though it's early on, but Lucca actually makes note of the tiny robot which she would later create in the new Chronicles anime cut scene ending if you talk to her before returning Marle to Guardia castle after first coming back from 600AD.
Also, Disposable Explosion Blast Pistol makes SO much more sense than w/e random weapon name Ted gave Lucca that made people speculate about how to get/equip the damn thing. Y'know? The weapon Lucca uses to save Crono from the guillotine.
And Guardia seems to know about Magic because of the Dragon Tank's Sky/Fire shield.
Alright, as for quotes...
When you enter a space-time distortion with four or more people who live in different times, the dimensional field distorts......However, there are many space-time distortions in this place. There are even those who, like you, appear here aimlessly......
Aimless visitors? I always wondered what he meant in the original translation about people popping into the End of Time...Could he just be talking about Spekkio? Or himself?
Don't get any weird thoughts just because we're alone together, old man!
I just thought that was funny...though afterwards it made me want to reload & see what the other party members would say...I don't know if I actually did it though...I didn't get any of the others' quotes...
Strength of the heart. Magic's the heart's strength, power.
That seems to give a little more info on Magic...it's kind of an inner strength, it seems.
Something IS writTEN down in an ancient era's hieroglyphic characters. I SHALL try decoding it......
I think I got this one basically because it shows that Zeal seems to have hieroglyphs...I didn't try to see what Lucca would say though...
Her (Ayla) combat ability level far exceeds human levels.
Ayla's a super/meta human!
A sword may become either a means of taking a life or a means of saving a life, depending how the user's heart is. Be sure not to misuse it (the Grandleon/Masamune).
Sheds a little light on how the Grandleon/Masamune works prior to Cross.
But......getting hit hurts. Even for them......
I thought the flashback scene w/Glenn was MUCH better because of this quote. It shows his compassion at such an early age. He didn't want to fight back because he knew it would hurt them! How kee000te...!
If you can beat the Dark Arts Swordsman Soysaw, and the Void Mage Mayonnay.
I think I had heard this before, but there are Soysaw/Slash & Mayonnay/Flea's little 'titles'. I think it makes 'em sound cool...perhaps cooler than they actually are...>_> But I guess w/the ridiculous condiment pun names attached it's actually quite humorous.
My spacetime gyro is......12,000 years before the Kingdom Calendar!? This IS ancient to a terrifying extent.
Kingdom Calendar apparently starts at year 1 (or 0? how does that work again? someone w/better math skills than I can tell me, I'm sure...)...so before that it'd be...uhhhhh...Also, as you can probably notice, I took Robo along for a good chunk of the time (I think he has some of the better input).
The weapons and armors brought forth from the planet's powers of sky, dark, fire, and water were since sealed in the northern shrine on the Queen's orders.
That just gives the info about the Elemental Weapons & Armors that I had always been hearing about...
Born of dreams, returning to dreams......Beings such as that exist as well. At times, human prayers and desires borrow the power of Lavos-sama and materialize.
I don't know if that shuts the case, but, yeah, it pretty much seems to give a LOT of credence to the idea that Gran & Leon/Masa & Mune are LITERALLY Melchior's dreams...Yeah, sad to see one of my own ideas/theories shot down so quick & easy...V_V
Listen well, the earth is alive. Over long periods of time, it gradually moves......Plains to mountains......mountains to oceans......After man thousands, tens of thousands of years pass, ways may be found to places where none can now approach, like the northern shrine & Sun Temple.
Though this man is clearly talking about continental drift & erosion, I still think that first line is fairly important, yeah?
Yeah...well, anyways, I'm on the part where I have to go around & get all the sealed chests & doors & get the Wings of Time...which I think is one of the most boring parts...I'll post more if I see more when I get around to continuing...
Any thoughts so far?
