Heh, I remember this one freak who thought Lavos really did exist and was shouting all the time towards the end of 1998.

Lavos is going to rise! AHHHHHH We are all going to die!

Sad part is, he ended up killing himself on New Year's Eve...
Wow that's...wow. I'd like to know more about that. Got link?

What do you mean? This was true, it happened in San Jose. My hometown to be exact. I don't have a link. Lo siento.

umm...maybe i did something wrong but when i warped from 65m BC, yes i ended up in open sea, but when i warped to 600 ad, i ended up...still in the sea, near the Giant's Claw... which makes a whole lot more sense bc thats where Lavos impacted anyway, bc we all know GC houses Tyranno Lair.

Here's a link to a screenshot I took and labeled.

You live in San Jose? Dude! I used to live in Cupertino! Rawk on!!!

Anyway, to kinda wrap up this thread with my own opinion on the matter, the BO stands over the same spot it rose from in 12,000 BC and the same spot Lavos erupted from in 1999 AD, in 2300AD. This spot is the same spot Melchiors house is in 1000 AD, and Magus' castle is in 600 AD. This is the same spot as where Lavos crashed into the planet at Tyrano Lair in 65,000,000 BC.

Now according to the PD theory, which I find most believable (though I must give my input that it's not exactly perpendicular in time since it's not as strong in 12,000 BC when you fight it as in 1999 AD; interesting idea, whether it has merit or not. You decide), Lavos isn't actually inside the planet, its resting in the PD drawing and gathering DNA and energy and whatnot from the planet to itself in the PD. When it shows up on the planet, first does so when awakened rather rudely in 12,000 BC. Then does so when summoned rather forcefully in 600 AD, and finally willingly shows itself in 1999 AD.

The significance of where it landed merely shows where the portal/gate to its PD is. Everything fits together like a puzzle! Isn't that neat?

Okay, then why after the impact in 65m BC does Ayla say Lavos was fast and was "deep underground already"? Why would she say that if he wasn't actually INSIDE the planet?

Ayla ain't the brightest young lady. In either case, she doesn't know everything. And even if she was smart enough, she could just be guessing. Lavos did disappear awful fast.

She's obviously brighter than her other caveman counterparts. First off, there are men in the village and she became chief! Why? She's obviously intelligent (to an extent, of course, not like most humans today) and strong.

Notice the way she moves around inside the crater after the impact, it appears as if she's putting her head to the ground, listening. I think what she lacked in intelligence she had in instincts and senses. She could sense his presence in the ground and her instincts told her he was burrowing into the earth.

Also, she told the elder of the neighboring village that he was an old man and though he breathed, he was dead on the inside. If you think about it, I think that's very true and very wise for a cavewoman to say.

I think it was mostly cuz she was stronger, and had great spirit, but she may have been smarter, yes. In fact I think I agree, she probably was.

Yeah, maybe. Would conclude that the portal to the PD does indeed lie deep below the earth.

Very true, one of the best quotes in the game. She was very honest and very blunt, and really seemed to understand things others seem to overlook.
