Temporal Flux dumb-dumb question
« on: July 27, 2008, 02:31:26 pm »
Hi, I'm Mysty and I'm new to the Compendium.  Really love just about all the articles on here!  I had forgotten how much I enjoyed Chrono Trigger when I was younger before I came here, and went about getting myself a ROM and emulator and have been playing the heck out of Chrono Trigger, the Retranslation, the Crimson Echoes Demo, etc.

I was curious about hacking, so I downloaded Temporal Flux to try taking a crack at it, but, I, for lack of a better way to say it, am completely stupid so far as getting it to work.  I have the Flux file, the .Net 2.0, Windows XP, etc., but I don't know what to do first to get it to work.  I can't remember which emulator I have (at work at the moment), I THINK it's ZSNES though.  It could be SNESx9.

So, what do I do to start Temporal Flux working?

You got all that's required to start hacking away, you don't have to have an emulator to start hacking, but unless you want to check bugs and errors in your code, you'll need one, ZSNES and BSNES are pretty good emulators, ZSNES is to see if anything breaks emulator wize, and BSNES to see if the game will run on the actual system.
