As I said in the other thread, I personally think this is a really neat idea. I'll be interested to see what the results are. I'm rather amused that some seem to be thinking this will create a Black Hole. From all that I've heard, most all of the reputable scientists who actually understand something of mirco-black hole mechanics say this could not possibly pose a danger, or if a danger than on such a minute scale that an asteroid wiping us out is far the more likely.

Personally, I'm hoping that they'll be able to come up with some kind of idea for negative matter from all this research. I know that's not their aim, but with their investigations into the nature of mass (and perhaps gravity), maybe they'll find a state of matter that has a negative mass and, therefore, would be the perfect application of anti-gravity.
