Lavos Bestiary Entry with All Question Marks

There's one Lavos entry in the bestiary that's all question marks. I was assuming that this would be the one you fight at the beginning of a New Game + game or at the end of the Ocean Palace. Anyway, I defeated Lavos at the beginning of a New Game +, but it didn't reveal any of the information. Is there any way to get any info for this Lavos entry in the bestiary? Thanks.

Edit: Oh yea, I had the same issue.  I think it's the one at the beginning of the game on new game only that you're not suppose to defeat?  I'm not sure.  It's strange.

I assume that's the Ocean Palace Lavos, since that version of him is quite stronger then the normal shell you face.

I guess if we defeat it, then go back and lose so that we can continue, we can fill in that part of the Bestiary.

No, Ocean Palace Lavos has his own Bestiary entry. The one with all question marks is his first "form" -- the one where he goes through his "attack modes" and mimics bosses you have previously fought. The stats are all "???" because they change depending on what attack mode he's in.

Just look at the Bestiary, dude. It's right there in the menu. >.>
