Chrono Trigger Apocalypse Episode VI Update
« on: December 23, 2009, 04:21:08 pm »
Well after a "reunion" of sorts with ultra publications. We worked a good amount of things out and now we have a webpage. Oh joy!

It has a constantly updated blog... well not constantly it will probably be weekly thing like on here.

So check it out!

Here is the current update taken directly from the page.

Chrono Trigger Apocalypse V Aftermath
Well, I am not thrilled with the outcome, but at least everyone finally got to see it in all of it's glory.

With that being said, the big announcement for the day is that Chrono Trigger Apocalypse will officially be hand drawn from here to the final episode. This is assuming that I am going to buy a tablet the day after Christmas.

What exactly does this mean? Well it means several things. Episodes may take longer or less time depending on how it goes. I am going to be adding some new special features as well... I wouldn't call them special features since they will be default, but I can gladly say right now that auditions will be up near the end of production. Yes, auditions... not telling for what. It's not hard either you figure it out.

The true script is now being worked on right now as well as storyboarding. As I keep reiterating every framework for every episode is worked out, I just need to add the detail and thats what this process is.

If this is all going to happen the biggest emphasis will be the background scenes. If my characters are lacking in any way (They will before I get practice) my scenery will make up for it. I plan this to be a GRAND embarking for me as I step foot in to the true hand drawn world. Text bars will no longer be the same. The only sprites may be character portraits and maybe a little something extra to make people relive the old days.

So on that note I am also currently looking for a coder who is good enough with actionscript 2.0 that they can help me program a minigame.

Thats it for now.

Neo, the production cooperation with Ultra Publications is a permanent or otherwise long-term thing now? We'll link to the development blog in the upcoming Mega Update too in that case.

Yes... a minor setback though.

Tablets are much higher priced than I thought.

Either way, we will see... it all depends on how much I have after christmas. If worse comes to worse... I have a scanner. And I can trace pictures.
