Chrono Character VAs... a possibility

Normally I'd be all for the contempt of a Disney person, Skylark, but this Jodi Benson actually seems like a decent voice actress and a suitable pick for Schala.

Aye. I feel about her super-religiosity the same way some people feel about her involvement with Disney, but, even so, I have to admit that she's an awesome voice actor.

Also, I picked Kath Soucie for Queen Zeal based on her performance as Nerissa in W.I.T.C.H.

Yeah, I know she was good. She'd be a good pick for sure.

But there have to be others as well.

I just can't see her with Ariel's voice. But that's just me. *shrugs*

I picked out Michelle Ruff after hearing her do the voice of Iris in Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm.

I admit, Ruff sounds a bit strong for Schala, but like I said, she has an excellent range. Maybe we can agree to disagree. :p

My only real beef is the Gaspar as Tom Kenny thing. From what I know of his work, he seems to take on more younger, energetic characters. The only old man role I've heard him play is as the Mayor of Townsville from the Powerpuff Girls.

I don't know why I know that....

Well, I cast Tom Kenny based on his work as Rin in Final Fantasy X (proving he could do something slightly more serious). Mixing up the oldness of his Mayor voice with the seriousness of his Rin voice could produce something delightfully eccentric. Tom Kenny's a talented guy, he could come up with something.

So I was thinking about this topic earlier, and for some reason when I try to figure out things like this I can't think seriously about them, so I started juxtaposing the characters of Family guy with Zeal royalty.  Here's what I came up with voice wise in my alternate reality Chrono sitcom:

Janus with the voice of Stewie, obviously.  (Damn you woman!  I hope that vile beast consumes you!)
Schala with the voice and mannerisms of Meg.  (Mo-om, you said when we became immortal I could get a lip ring.)
Dalton gets to be... Chris?  (Woah!  An airplane!  COOOOL!)
Queen Zeal in the Lois role, w/ Lois voice.  (Aww, Janus baby you just need a nap.  *...as Janus attempts to cast black hole on her.*)
LAVOS with the voice of Peter.  (Alright, guys, check this out!  I just found out I can shoot lasers out of my eye!  Oh man, I haven't done anything this cool since the time you almost awakened me and I accidentally destroyed one of your islands with flaming debris.  *Cue ridiculous flashback.*  Pshew, you guys thought the kingdom was TOAST.  Good thing Married with Children came on...)
Brian... who else?  Alfador of course.  (Uhh... can't think of characteristic Brian shtick.)

I guess you can extrapolate this to include all of the other Family Guy characters.  I decided to stop with the immediate family since I couldn't place Quagmire.

I mean, I don't even know 'em, I can't just fire my big ol' needles at them and not nobody else. Well, I could get to know 'em, but that's kinda hard with me bein' a big ol' space parasite and all. Nope, nope, I don't discriminate. I better destroy everyone. But ohhhhh look, there's such a nice jewelry store over there, I'd hate to blow it up before checkin' out their earrings... *notices he's already made destruction start raining from the heavens* Oh, too late.
