...I feel stupid. I've been watching this thread and I was thrown off by the "announcement."
Don't feel stupid! Because it's true! What, Square Enix would lie to us by showing us these teaser covers, only to laugh in our faces and tell us "yeah right!"? Of course not because Square Enix is the best company in the world and they love their fans that support them and love them. I've gotten me all my latest Final fantasy's and Chrono's! I also got Infinite Undiscovery and the latest Kingdom Hearts titles as well! I may not care for a lot of those but it's because I love them so much and want them to follow up on their word of these new upcoming games that I bothered to get all of these. I currently have actually over 13 copies of CTDS. It'll help the sales go up, which is certainly bound to happen when Square Enix puts Chrono Break available on all 3 systems that way their money intake will sky rocket because everyone will see these games and say "Oh my god! A new Chrono game! And it has all the characters looking badass?! WANT!" and then they'll proceed to spazm over to the counter and seizure their way into their pockets to give out double the cost for the special edition you're making. You know, the gold plated ones for all of your loyal fans Square Enix? Like me?
They've already begun working on making screenshots for all the loyal fans like the members here at the Chrono Community. And they're also getting yasunori mitsuda for their music yet again. He's hard at work, and looking to make his best material yet that'll leave you unconcious from it's beauty you'll lose so much breath for a few seconds. They're also collecting voice actors but so far it looks like there'll be only Japanese voice overs. But they'll probably make an english version for all the hardcore americans who have to have english or else it's not cool or worth your time.
And also to satisfy our hardcore American needs for guns, sex, and blood, they'll be adding a special bonus mode for an extra $5! In it, you play as a topless Marle running about with a split screen view, the top screen showing her from the front, the bottom screen showing her from the bottom, using fire, lightning, and ice arrows to shoot off hundreds of Zombie Zealians ready to devour her flesh. Victory earns you a softcore scene with Crono or Lucca(your choice)involved, the other bursting in on the other two before anything happens(to keep it kid friendly of course!)to inform them Queen Zombie Zeal has arisen and is going to destroy us all! And so you get a standard battle scene with her, that appears to be just for fun but it's a method to get the hardcore shooter fans to play some Chrono action and realize "Hey! Games are fun when strategy is involved!"
The instruction manual will be like the days of old probably(for an awesome throwback to the past cause they love the original Chrono Trigger so much, why remake it 3 times? 4th coming in 2011)and they'll include a strategy guide to get you through the first level! It'll be a 200 page instruction maunal because they'll also have plenty of pretty pictures and 30 characters each having their own page(only 16 will be shown though, the must get characters).
Last bit of information I currently have on the game is that Jesus, Gandi, Buddha, Moses, and everyone else will be raining from the heavens to enlist on the staff of this game to ensure EVERYONE IN THE WORLD will BUY THIS GAME because THIS GAME is THE BEST GAME EVAR!
So TruthorDeal as you can see-There is no reason to feel stupid for believing those ads and announcements to be real. BECAUSE THEY ARE. THEY ALWAYS HAVE BEEN. THIS IS SQUARE ENIX'S LOVE CHILD. IT IS THE VERY REASON THE TWO COMPANIES MERGED SO THEY COULD HAVE THIS BEAUTIFUL BABY. THE FETUS...OF MIRACLES.
