The return of chat

The Chrono Compendium IRC Service has returned. You can access it by clicking IRC Chat under Community on the left. Alternatively, if you'd like to use your own client, the server is:

irc.chronocompendium.com port 6667

There aren't any IRC Services set up yet, however expect to see them installed as usage increases.

Just a heads-up, for the hypocritical people who come in and complain that the chat isn't active, it helps to stick around for more than one or two minutes. Pretty sure there's no harm in staying logged in (at least for a little while) like Mauron and me. Although, I'm using an irc client so it isn't really a bother to keep it open. But still!

I'm not connected either at the moment. Pidgin is giving me a very non-specific error "unable to connect: Connection refused."

It's back up. In a few weeks I'll add a cron job to automatically ensure the server's properly up and running at all times, so the longest it'll ever be down is maybe 30 minutes.
