In need of a screen recorder
« on: July 27, 2010, 02:29:59 pm »
Ok... I am in need of a screen recorder.

Hypercam 2 is good, but that little unregistered thing is annoying.

I am just looking for a good one to record playthroughs with, I am not doing ZSNES playthroughs so you know.

I usually use CamStudio, but it's a bit finicky in terms of memory use when you've got other programs running in the background. Its videos often need audio length correction, something Audacity and VirtualDub/VirtualDubMOD can help help with.

If there's a better open source screen recorder out there, I'm all ears.

I've also heard of Fraps and Camtasia. Haven't used either though.
