CTU: Ridiculously Urgent Request

I'm not going to say CTU could die if you fail to find this, but actually it will (LK just doesn't want me to explain why just yet and pretend everything will be okay).

I need a song, WITH WORDS, that is free to use... REALLY Free to Use, not fuck Copyright violation style free to use. The band will have to give their permission - for real, not presumed - either knowingly, or already have by giving open carte blanche in open writing, that their song can be used for free in a production. We're looking for a pop song, something possibly in the vein of Thriller, but it definitely has to be upbeat. Here's the ultimate kicker, the song has to actually be good despite the fact it's free to use.

Other steps will have be taken to avert disaster even if this one is met, but other steps don't even need to be considered unless the first stepping stone can be reached.

Can you be more specific about what you're looking for? I may be able to help.

I can talk to my band... check my Soy thread for links to songs and live videos, I try not to spread them out around the forum.

Can't guarantee you'll like it, and I can't guarantee we can let you use it. If you don't feel comfortable going into detail here, pm me.

To everyone, we did eventually figure out a work around to our problem if no substitute song is found. However, we still welcome you to submit candidate songs.

STATUS UPDATE:

A band called The Gloom (Bekkler's Band) wants to do an original Thriller-esque song for the scene, they rock!
