About Gaspar's "Mysterious" line.
« on: February 21, 2006, 12:27:30 am »
I've found a few sites with people wondering a lot about how Gaspar says that one close to us is in danger..I don't know if anyone else has done this, but...

If you defeat Lavos' first form, his "Mouth", then it makes you go in. However, do not go to the final battle. Instead, gate out, fight your way through the Black Omen, defeat Zeal, then when Lavos shows up simply go in again and leave. This time, when you talk to Gaspar, he will say something along the lines of "Finally! That poor woman is human again." I just thought I might say this, since everyone seems as much confused by it as Gogo's identity from FF6. O_o; Thanks for your time.[/quote]

He's probably talking about Schala or Queen Zeal.

We all knew about that, but thanks anyway! Most poeple feel that he is talking about Queen Zeal, by the way.

...I didn't because that quote doesn't exist to begin with...

Well if you want to get technical:

There was a disclaimer stating it might not be the exact quote.

Well, while it's true that he does indeed say something along the lines of "Finally! That poor woman is human again." his little "someone close to you" speech is a Woosleyism (as I'm sure ZeaLitY's link explains) and anyways, even if you thought it WAS Queen Zeal he was talking about, it wouldn't make sense if you had decided to off Magus on the cape.

It is a complete mistranslation.  Gaspar actually said to talk to the time travellers about the events in their time periods (i.e. the side quests).
