Switch snes-music with chrono symphonic? (emulator)

Hello! My name is Andreas

I Know absolutely nothing about snes emulators and what you can or can't do with them, but today i've got an idea:
Would it be possible to hack/mod a SNES-emulator so that it would recognize all the tunes in a game and let you choose what sound file to play (repeat) instead?

I mean, It would be awesome to play the original game but listen to the Chrono symphonic instead of the original (that i almost know every chord in backwards by now).
-Even more, this could be useful for more games with lots of homemade remixes:)

As long as it's modding the emulator and not the ROM, I think we can help. Not me though... I'm particularily bad at it.
