Well, utunnels is better-equipped to answer this than I am, but, hmm.

 人を導き、歴史を変える、不思議な力をもっていた、と聞きます。
 王国が滅んでから、どこをどう流れたか、人の手を渡り歩いて、最後に父のものとなったのです……。
Nothing about the kingdom being magical as far as I can tell, but it's an ancient one.

And RD takes place approx 1005AD so Guardia wouldn't be referred to as ancient. Which implies the developers were talking about Zeal and not Guardia falling. Interesting.

Unless they were referring to Guardia's age as a 1000 year-old kingdom... Interesting nonetheless. I want to know what Kato was thinking.

Thank you Vehek. It is funny I never noticed the difference.

Also before they face Lynx, Magus mentions this:
Quote
Since the birth of humanity, at least one entire race has fallen because of it. These people once built a great thriving metropolis with its power, but now, all knowledge of this era has been completely lost within the sands of time.

This is taken from Demiforce's translation. Although they over-translated this, but at least you can get the kingdom which has fallen is not Guardia. The original lines don't contain the extra informations, it only mentions a country once fell because of the Flame, and its name is no longer known to this era.

Quote
過去に多くの人の心を惑わし、一国を
滅ぼしたことさえある……。
 今ではその王国の名を、知る者すらい
ない……

It is not clearly stated, but at least the ancient kingdom they mention is not Guardia, it is impossible people forget its name in 15 years or so.

So the answer is yes or no.
