Are you kidding? I think the series is getting better. Still not as great as "tears of joy" as far as I'm concerned, but the most recent episode has real charms. For instance, when the cat simply walks underneath the door. That's the sort of clever thinking that'll make for the memories.

I'm talking about the script. In the first 10, I laughed at almost every single thing Crono said. He never got old, in fact I agree with you, he was getting funnier and funnier. But the 11th one just didn't have that. It seemed like the script wasn't written by Cryokenetic this time. The plot is still quality, I agree...but the script...

Clovis, you guys shouldn't take suggestions on what to see next, I think. You guys should just do what you've been doing: taking the material from the game and putting your own twist on it. The people have loved what they've already seen: game happenings, with a hilarious twist. I personally don't wanna see a change to that because enough people said "MAGUS!!1! MAGUS IS TEH R0X0R5!1!111!!!!!!!!!!!1"

Also, I give credit to Unglued for getting me to whip out my dads old tapes and listen to Sounds of Silence non-stop (credits would've been nice instead of having to search online for the artist-song title, though it was easy and quick to find...still).

My suggestion is to do what you've been doing thus far.  It ain't broke, so don't fix it.

TO START:

Cryo did write that script. I did add some jokes myself, but only under Cryo's permission (like, say... the entire Benny Hill Chase... the credit sequence was also my idea and I'm sorry I forgot to list the music in it and I promise that won't happen next time). Nothing from Cryo's script was taken out. Fact is, this is invariably, to quote Cryo, a filler episode since there wasn't much dialogue during the escape (yet the story telling would seem a bit awkward if we only covered the scripted moments and cut out all the inbetween, something has to go in this inbetween and this was it).

AS FOR SUGGESTIONS:

I think there's been a miscomunication here. I guess I should've said we're not taking any script suggestions (nor have we ever). What we want  to know is what people desperately wanted in the next episode PRODUCTION VALUE WISE (you could give the same script to 15 different animators and get 15 different movies all with the same dialogue) as some people complained this episode was too short compared to the others, other complained the secret scene was too hard to find, others complained about the quality of the animation, etc. Now many of those NG complaints were VERY poorly written and you have to go elsewhere for reliable commentary as we don't speak 13-year-old-AOLer.

So, my bad, let's try this again with greater clarity:

Of the following which would you say is more important to you (none of this would change the script per se, but it might change how much of our script ends up in one episode... as we don't exactly have set start and ends point in it right now):

- Movie Length: Do you prefer more effort be spent on making shorter scenes with high levels of animation (action sequences like the chase scene take much longer to animate), or really long scene with lots of dialogue but little animation?

- What are your thoughts on the interactive scenes? These are not necessarily hard to make, but they can make editting the scene later on more difficult. Were you upset that there wasn't one in this episode? NOTE: If anyone remembers how to give a frame a name so you can refer to it without using it's frame number, please remind as I've forgotten.

- How long do you like waiting between episodes?

- Do you like the credits? Or did you find them annoying? Do you want a keystroke that skips the credits?

- Any ideas for a better menu? Do you like it how it is? Do you want more options? Perhaps a section with notes on the making of that episode? Some people who liked the credits wanted a link straight to the credits?

- Was the secret scene too hard to find, just hard enough, etc?

- Would a custom intro animated to a custom song be an improvement (and yes, we actually know someone whom will sing it for us)?

DO NOTE: All that said, there will be some expanded moments of our own doing not suggested by anyone else. However, not one of these will be so as to contradict the plot already existant (and we both very well read Chrono Historians so to speak). We will be doing nothing to negate the game's plot, especially since if our lives last long enough this series will go... dare I say it... beyond Chrono Cross (at which point I guess it would be pure speculation, but I REALLY hope by that point Square finally gets a 4th game out in the series).

Either one will do. Ideally I guess I should try to advertise/push the forums, but I can read stuff here just as well as there. So here will do. But if you ever want to, you're more than welcome to visit our slightly insane forums (the word slightly may or may not be an understatement at the moment).

I'm glad you approve of it all. It is in fact a play by play parody of the opening to Paranoia Agent (using some events from Chrono Trigger, some events based on events from CTU like the Crono Imp Gang Rape scene), and some events from betwee  CT and CC such as the Porre Invasion of Guardia or Lynx burning Lucca's house). Near the end of Paranoia Agent's opening there's a scene with an old guy standing on the moon (with no space suit) laughing hysterically and behind him atomic bombs are going off all over the Earth (this has no actual relevance in the show's plot). Looking at it instantly made me think of Belthasar laughing in space in front of the Day of Lavos. This did necessitate me making custom Blethasar laughing sprites as none were pre-existant.

I got the idea for the credits while looking at Crono sprites. Crono's standing forward Laugh eerily reminded me of something else, and since I had already told Cryo we badly needed a credit sequence the idea was born. Don't expect the credits sequence to change for a long time as I won't feel like animating a new one now that I just made it. However, that said, Cryo would like to at some point in the future after they find Robo to do a new credits sequence based on the Full Metal Alchemist opening with the "Ready Steady Go" sound track (with Crono replacing Ed and Robo replacing Al).

MOVIE LENGTH: i like the movie movie to be not too long that your spending an hour going through it but not like only a minute long. other then that at least give some thought about weather its too long or too short and ill be happy

INTERACTIVE SCENES: i loved these, i liked the ones from the church scene, "whats a tech?" for instance. i also liked how later on frog tries to explain to chrono how to do a dual tech, though i would have laughed my *** off if he took a shot of ether then did the dual tech (i mean in the game it supplies MP, gotta give it some use other then just being "ale")

WAITING: might be my webcomic bais talking but maybe a few weeks, but of course i dont have a vary long fuse so take my advise in this section to a grain of sand. as long as your sending updates to your site, saying that your still working on it or what ever, i wouldnt mind wating longer

MENU: i like having a scene list to skip right too, im not sure if it was in the last few, but it would help recalling where the secreat things where if you passed them off as the animaters "style"

INTRO: if you have to, i request no words, if words, non english words. i hate crappy music as much as gato's ultimate attack scene in unglued, so yah, no english intro music, if any.

MISC: like i mentioned under interactive scenes, i like when you humanize the characters a little( make it seem like they actualy had a life before the fair) id like to see more of that, not soap opera mind you, but funny little flash backs and little side events like those i mentioned in interactive scenes

Don't worry, 'Evirus not logged in', we do plan to make the people here more human. While we won't deviate from the original plot, I should say that we won't deviate from the spirit of it. We fully consider the dialogue in part to be a product of the time and the limited storage medium, rather than an artistic choice for the most part. Some things will definitely be expanded on, such as the relation between Crono and Marle which is by today's standards barely hinted at at all and is more assumed by the player due to cliche law of the times.

On the topic of an intro song, there WOULD DEFINITELY be singing (IN ENGLISH no less) as the person we'd be PAYING to do the ORIGINAL music is a PROFESSIONAL. I guess I should've said we were considering hiring a profession, to be specific the one who did all the audio and music in the Flash Animation "Touch Tone Genius" (which currently resides on Newgrounds Top 50), when I asked this question. Here is a cover of "Experimental Film" he did: http://www.archivestowearpantsto.com/tracks/0264_experimental_film.mp3 (He, Andrew Pants, is the only professional we know of who actually takes random commission like this at a fee we can afford. The 30 second intro we're thinking of would be around 15-50 to produce according to his website). The fact we're willing to commision a professional intro shows in part our dedication to make this one of the greatest sprite series period.

I guess I should have asked more for Song ideas as we're already fairly married to the idea and setting money aside in preperation. Andrew Pants can write lyrics for commisions even, but we can't just say write us an intro and compose it. He requires some form of specifics to say the least. If you STILL feel you'd hate it, despite it being a professional original custom intro song, then please state THAT whenever you get to reading this response.

Now for the matter of ineractivity, or as me and Cryo call them sometimes: Clickies. Do not fret, the next episode has a 99.9% chance of having an interactive scene. Most likely around the time Crono finds Fritz while trying to escape again (this time without the cat's 'help').

Oh yes. I think I should tell you... Ether DOES have useful properties in this world, but the way Crono abuses it is more properly akin to a narcotic actually. It would probably be better for Crono if he was drowning his worries in Ale.

We are always looking for songs we could set moments to, so if possible get in contact with me by e-mail or some other means. However, our goals with Andrew Pants is to produce an original professional (roughly 30 seconds) song that is our LEGAL OFFICIAL ORIGINAL theme song.

TO ALL: Before I forget, I just want to say that it is a great honor to be keeping this series alive and to speak with you the fans. You are the people whom I'm here keeping this alive for.

- Movie Length: LONG, and more dialogue/clickie heavy. Especially if Crono continues to be as hilariously witty and sarcastic as he has been.

- What are your thoughts on the interactive scenes? Clickies kick assies...er...asses...^_^

- How long do you like waiting between episodes? I agree with evirus, as long as I'm being updated at a decently frequent rate, I'm good. I just wanna know what's going on.

- Do you like the credits? Personally, I didn't care much for the credits...I just wanted to see the extra scene, haha. Having them as an option instead would be better IMHO.

- Any ideas for a better menu? I like the way the menus and dialogue boxes were before they went through major changes for the last couple episodes. I have a more sluggish computer though, so...*shrug*

- Was the secret scene too hard to find, just hard enough, etc? The last one was fine, a little difficult, but I got it nonetheless. I like the "red book" type more, personally. Y'know, one's that don't go away after only existing for a mere second or two.

- Would a custom intro animated to a custom song be an improvement (and yes, we actually know someone whom will sing it for us)? ...I can sing, too, and I'll sing for free ^_^ Hehe, naw I'm sure you guys picked who you want for good reason, and he is good...but if you're ever interested in seeing if you wanted someone else for a different song, someone who would LOVE to participate and who won't charge you (and will indeed write lyrics if so desired, too), visit my website and listen to my songs to decide if you'd like to take that chance. And there's my other website where I have my written lyrics, also.

Now to address everything in order:

- The next shall be longer, so fear not... probably anyways

- The next shall have clickies, or Cryo will wring my neck, so fear not.

- Then it is a good thing I like prattling on, so fear not... or maybe that is a reason to fear... I wonder...

- I will consider it, but since the contributers may change one epiosde to the next I'm not sure it's fair to them (I'm the guy in the theater who stays for the credits). We might (keyword: might) look into a skip feature that is only active on repeat viewings for that session.

- The current menu should have no impact on the performance of the flash irregardless of your PC. As for the text boxes, they were highly demanded to be game accurate yet fear not as I know a way to improve their speed while keeping them game accurate (FYI: Cryo is somewhat inefficient in his Flash use, I cleaned up much in what little was already done in Episode 11 before I took over to be more efficient and keep the file size smaller. What I didn't clean up in Episode 11 won't be a recurring issue in Episode 12 as it's eaiser to start some new doing it the right way than it is to fix it in many locations when the less optimal method is currently in use).

- This is already in the plans, so don't worry. In fact, I don't see how we could reproduce the nasty drop of Golden dillema with our script for Episode 12.

- I will keep your most generous offer in mind and review the audio and lyric files when I'm done with this database assignment I'm currently working on. You may very well be hearing from me soon. It is impossible for me to finish this as a one man army, and I gladly quality welcome production relief aid when available. (There's a reason my friend Bryan gets so many titles in Episode 11's credits, although that probably won't happen again in Episode 12 where at best he'll be mentioned with the Beta Testers as I don't intend to repeat the scenario ever again that named him 'Savior of the Project').

Once again, it is an honor to be hearing from you the fans.
