Planet image from end of Cross...

A nice, clear picture of the Chrono planet appears for about two seconds when Schala (finally) stops talking at the end of Cross.  Does anyone have a good screen grab of that?  I was wondering if we could match the shapes of the landmasses shown to the familiar configuration of the Zenan mainland.

I, for one, would like to make a comparison between the CT ending planet and the CC ending planet. Maybe we could detect El-Nido... Or is not the only difference?

The planet shot from Trigger is just a very crude attempt at taking the 1000 AD world map and wrapping it around a sphere.  Pretty poorly done (I even thought so way back in 1995), and you won't learn a darn thing by looking at it.

The Cross planet shot looks a lot more detailed and realistic, and it doesn't appear to be merely a real-life shot of Earth from space (like the planet image that appears when you do MeteorShower, which clearly shows Africa and the Indian Ocean--lame).  But, it just isn't up long enough to really study it.  Someone with the capability to make screen grabs should really do so.

I'd love to use such sprites in a Chrono hack, but it's not something I'm really considering right now.  I'm developing my own independent game project at the moment, and it's not yet clear if Temporal Flux will ever be able to do everything one might want it to (create single techs, have more than seven characters, etc.).

There is a project to do RD in CT. The people who translated RD started the project shortly after. But i think its dead now. At least i didnt notice any updates for a long time. I forgot the link should be easily enough to find.

AS for the world shot. I wouldent be surprised if its a generic shot of earth. IT was after all as you people have mentioned showed very briefly. AND the CC team really did a halfassed job and didnt go the extra mile to connect the games more than they had too.

I will NEVER understand it. CC is a sequel (is it says on the back of the box) yet it isnt really connected.

IT says its a sequel on the back but that just square's marketing engine for you. ITs a gaiden (or side story) nothing more.


I just started playing CC (the first time ive come near it since i played it the first time some 5-6 years ago) and at the begining you have meteor storm spell. The shot of the planet was shown quickly but it looked like a generic shot of earth to me.
