IT says its a sequel on the back but that just square's marketing engine for you. ITs a gaiden (or side story) nothing more.

I just started playing CC (the first time ive come near it since i played it the first time some 5-6 years ago) and at the begining you have meteor storm spell. The shot of the planet was shown quickly but it looked like a generic shot of earth to me.

Yeah, it is a generic shot of earth... Still, since we never see anything outside El-Nido in CC, we don't know how Zenan, Medina and Choras are shaped in CC graphics. A pity, really.

Yes, we all know about the MeteorShower element graphics already.  What you seem to forget is that the planet graphic shown at the end isn't a photograph.  It's a hand-drawn graphic.  For this reason, I really think that it isn't just a shot of Earth, but something more interesting.  That's why I was hoping someone would cap it.

Considering what Legend says, it may very well be the Chrono World because we dont know what it looks like.

We DO know what it looks like...  That's the idea...  He wants to see if we can look at the landforms on the one in CC and match it up to see Zenan and Medina and Choras continents...  If we can match it to that detail level, we MAY be able to detect the location of El Nido Archepelago.

Screenshot, anyone?

El Nido is somwhere in the sea between Guardia and Choras. Legend may have a screen.

*whaps Chander upside the head with an oar*

Between Guardia and Choras, huh?  That tells me about as much as "between Italy and Australia." =P

GOT IT!  I'm holding up my PSP (with CT loaded, on the 1000 AD zoomed-out world map) next to the monitor, and I can see a match.  (I've got it rotated...  The top-left corner of the PSP is pointed straight down, so I'm holding it diagonally.)

That continent in the center is Choras.  The island in the bottom-left is the Sun Keep.  Bottom-center is Medina, bottom-right is Zenan.  Guardia is completely off the map, unless they wrapped it around to the top-left, which is what it looks like they did.  Just up and right of the planet's center is a small island that I can't account for, although it does look like a string of islands.  This is most likely El Nido.  Finally, on the top right is a larger landmass, not quite a continent but too big to be an island or part of El Nido...I can't account for that either.

However, the ones I DID account for...the landshapes match.  If I'm correct (and I'll show you a picture of how I'm seeing this later tonight when I get off work), then El Nido is off the southern tip of Choras.  Absolutely the most remote area in the world.  For Porre to have strong militaristic influence here pretty much seals it that they've conquered the world.

I cant really make it out. But I was told it was between the seas that was east of Choras and west of Guardia. i.e. the edge of the world map in CT, it was in the middle there.

Instead of posting a rotated world map like I was going to (which is hard to grasp), I just decided to rotate the pic of the CC earth.  Two versions: with and without my little arrows pointing stuff out.
