How not to have SE produce Chrono Break
« on: July 26, 2005, 12:02:35 am »
Ever since Chrono Trigger Resurrection received a cease and desist order, a few voracious fans have been pummeling Square Enix's customer support with angry letters, declarations of ineptitude on the company's part, and pleas for a new game. While the dedication is admirable, these just aren't going to be considered by the corporation, much less used as grounds to make a new game. While you can make a difference by sending in a civil, well-composed letter, there are pitfalls to avoid. In this feature, I cover the three things that will NOT get SE to make the game, and provide a course of action that just might. Check it:

Good article. I sent my paper letter this morning and sent an email too. I'll try doing that once a month on my part.

I have a good feeling all of our letters are going straight to the trash can, shredder, or quite possible Bahamuts ass. I have my doubts that Suqare-Enix would even be competent to make a decent, let alone good, game in the Chrono universe again. I really have a distaste for that company.

Im with Zizzle, tehy could never do it again, the fluked CC, and only just. All they care now is about Final Fantasy (though im not saying thats bad).

Without Masato Kato and the Dream team, Square only survives on Final Fantasy. I don't like them. The only really new and fresh idea ones were FF7, FF6 and FF3. Espers, Genova and Lunitarians XD

Now look at Nintendo. They keep making the Zelda series, highly popular because they make more, and each is like a new chapter of the story, unlike Final Fantasy's ...

Ya, I feel that Final Fantasy will soon get worse. FFXI was the worst thing to ever happen, and even the Tactics series was pretty worthless. Im not even planning on buying FFXII, i may change my mind though.

i have hopes for twelve since its a new team working on it so it might be good but one game they should make is a  3D version of E.V.O that was a kickass game

and they'll let go of FF eventually i mean FF XVIII somehow i don't think so

I remember reading somewhere that the leader who is creating KH2 (whoever it is) wants FF to go on forever. He even said that he has high hopes for it. And to add, he doesnt want Kingdom Hearts to go like FF. Which is good.

I spent awile emailing square enix of US and got a few different replies. They told me that they really want  a new Chrono Trigger to be made but since they are part of just the US they cannot do anything, They told me that if I want Chrono Trigger to be made I should ask Square Enix of JAPAN not Square Enix of US. And keep on asking them.--- PS. If you ask them nicely they will reply!!!

Dis'?  Wow, why don't you just start saying "Oy" and go full-on Kid, eh? :P

Very interesting...  Maybe I will try to contact Square of Japan.  Thanks for the information. :)

Hm. The Japanese SE might not even bother with English letters; I'm thinking we could instead simply mail a printed image of the lettering for Chrono Break.

クロノ・ブレイク

I'm working on getting a letter translated that we can simply copy, paste, and send them. If anyone wants to find their mailing address, that would be good too.
