Here's what I found: http://biz.yahoo.com/ic/108/108316.html

Address:  Shinjuku Bunka Quint Bldg., 3-22-7 Yoyogi, Shibuya-ku
               Tokyo 151-8544, Japan

Phone:   +81-3-5333-1555
Fax:   +81-3-5333-1554

I still don't know what their Japan email adress is though.

So they will send the letter if the address is in romaji? Or is that how all letters are sent over there?

I think the address can be in English.  The directions to their building are in English, and it says "turn right on such-and-such" and everything...which makes me think the street signs may also have English equivalents.  It won't have any trouble getting where it's going. :)

I asked someone who's sent letters all three ways (hiragana, katakana & English), and English is actually the preferred default. That's taken care of.

Now I need to find someone to translate a basic letter requesting a third game into Japanese.

Bah. Maybe there's a site that can do that for you?

Hah, an automatic translator would turn:

I would like to request a new Chrono Series game. I enjoy the series and will buy a new title if you produce it.

Into:

Of concerning the desire of games to time-wind saga. To be illustration of manufacturd youth.

...That just sucks.

Maybe there's an online dictionary, so you'll build the letter, looking up  the words, one at a time?

Actually, why not ask a native Japanese person?  I'm friends with a Japanese player from FFXI, and I'll get her to translate it.  Then I'll get the translation verified for accuracy from an American student who's studying Japanese.  Would that be ok?

Alright, we'll try.

Try giving her the example letter on this page:

Dear Square Enix,

I am an American fan of the Chrono series, which includes the games Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. I very much enjoyed these titles, and am part of a large community of fans who share in my experiences. I am writing you to express my desire for a new Chrono game, and my full support in purchasing a new title. The series is unique, engaging, and very fun, and I would be overjoyed to see a new addition to its already outstanding lineup of games.

Sincerely,

Name

Alternatively, try to have this translated:

Can you comment on whether Masato Kato is with Square Enix Japan and if he has a mailing address?

I'll send that in myself.

Cool, now it's all getting together! Together, we can bring CB into existence!

Destiney has foreseen this!

The weaver of fate has surely taken notice of us by now, cradling us in her arms...

But what about fans from other countries who aren't American? Wouldn't it be better to make a universal type of letter so that anybody, wherever you're from can just pick up the text and send it? Without saying where you're from. Just my opinion.

I'd like to think she won't.
