But there'd always be that temptation to use it, thusly fuggin  up the future (and/or the past) not to mention the possibility of someone stealing it...or reverse-engineering it or something similarly as whakky.

Like Lucca says in her letter to Kid, she eventually kind of regreted the things they did because it completely destroyed an entire timeline and it's people...

i agree could you imagine what would happen if the epoch falls into the wrong hands?
the person that stole it could just take it back into time and fook everything back up

Thats something I was trying to get at. Something as powerful as the Epoch shouldnt just be left laying around. It's like, do you leave a loaded gun on your dinner table and leave your 9 year old kids at home to play with it? I think not.
