I'm pretty sure it was around 40-50 (my original save was deleted ) so I picked the 46 to 50 option.

If anybody were to actually beat Lavos from 1-20, I'd like a video.

Anyways, I first beat Lavos at around 50-ish, give or take a few levels, on a ROM, and I recently just whomped him on my recently purchased CT cart at level 55 (I was always too high of a level at each segment of the game >_>)

Yay for beating Lavos at Lv. 55, i found it way easy. I reckon the Son of Sun is way harder (see the s.o.s thread!). I usually find myself in all RPGs never really going for a challenge (apart from a few times), i always seem to 'over-level', if thats the term u want to use. I ended up beating FF4 with all my characters at lv. 99, it was easy as though. Turned out i wasnt plzed with the ending...

I'd like to see what the mowest mathmatically possible level to get to Lavos is.

I did a lvl1 ff9 run (you don't get exp for bosses, and killing enemies with stone, stop, stuff liek that) and beat ozma and thent he final boss.  Very challenging... but obviously not physically possible in CT.

It'd be very interesting to see.  Obviously you have the bosses, and you can avoid a very large percentage of enemies, but not all.  So anyone know what the lowest level is you can reach him at?

I bet you could hack it and make it so you face Lavos at Lvl 0 or something equally whakky...Magus-X makes a compelling arguement though, I must admit...
