My first time through, I won around L50.  However, I have done one of those 1/5/17 things on my cart.  It's a good challenge.  The Nizbels are hell, and Lavos Form Two is nigh impossible.
And that's not the record.  There have been reports of people winning at the mathematical minimum - Crono L1, Marle L4, Robo L16.  However, all such games were done on an emulator, which IMO kills the whole point of the challenge, with the rampant savestate abuse and all.

Plenty of people have done a LLG of CT, Kazuki.

While that is true, how many people have done LLGs on their first run through of a game? I know I wouldn't really feel comfortable enough to attempt a challenge like that, and since this thread is aimed at levels people FIRST beat Lavos with, I doubt plenty of people have done LLGs on their first playthrough.

Yeah, I was just talking in general, Kazuki because you asked if anyone had beat it at Lvl 1-20...I didn't know you were only talking about first run through like the first post was asking...but w/e...

Oh, and kazmaka (damn, kazmaka & kazuki...I just know I'm gonna get confused one of these times...) I've been thinking about it...Would Crono Lvl up at that mountain behind Truce in 600AD? I know there's, like, two forced battles there...Hmmm...

Yeah, I reread my post and came to the same conclusion you did. Sorry for not making myself completely clear :( .

About the forced battles...can't your run? I was curious about CT LLGs so I decided to browse around guides for them and I recall one recommending you run from those (The one on GameFAQS, I believe).

P.S.: Here's an easy way to define me from him: I'm that newbie who lurks around the articles/editorials/fan creations who doesn't really understand enough to contribute except for the forums like these

some forced battles can still be run away from, if you cannot run from these you would just have to hope its not enough to level you, but i expect you can run.

That's what I originally thought.  Turns out the first battle as soon as you get out of the portal only gives you 6 exp, (not enough to lvl up) and the other one that's "forced" you can actually run away from.  Those are the only exp points Crono will get the entire game.

Who ever selected option one is a liar!

Anyway, I think I was probably around 50ish...  55ish...  I try to get relatively high.

Heh, so far it's pretty fun. I just finished Heckran Cave, and am on the bridge now to face off with Zombor... I have ~5 hours totalled just to get to here   Heckran was the hardest, took me 4 tries to beat (I'm trying not to abuse save states, but if I'm near the end of battle I'll use them so I don't waste 15 minutes).

Also, I find it nifty that if you learn magic from Spekkio at a low level, you automatically learn the 2 or 3 techs that come before that, which is really handy in Crono's case, he learns Slash without ever leveling up... otherwise Masa & Mune would be a pain in the ass :?

Are you using the gamefaqs guide? Because the levels of your characters correspond on the ones with the guide at that time.

Yeah, I used the guide for some boss strategies. Other then that, it's all in how you avoid battles. Currently, my high level girl (Marle) is 1 level lower then what the guide has listed at this point.

Having completed these Sections, Crono should be at LV1, your
LLGirl at LV4, your HLGirl at LV11, and Robo at LV13.  You should have the
Silver Erng and all items previously listed.

Well, she WAS until 2 forced battles listed AFTER that   Didn't even realize she leveled. I just entered 65,000,000 BC and am about to attend the party. Playtime is around 6 hours 30 minutes or something like that.

I think I'm gonna try a low level Lufia 2 game after CT, never tried it... By the way, I wrote some of a Lufia 2 guide on GameFAQS up to the first Gades battle (Hasaki/Argetlahm) but never finished or updated because of a harddrive crash :(

Isn't a low level Lufia pointless?  Because don't the boss levels correspond with the parties levels?  Or am I thinking of Silver Star Story?

Must be Lunar, it's definately NOT that way in Lufia 2 :)
