It is a holy white sword, created long ago by ancient sages along with its
demonic brother, the Masamune.

I think the quote is from the old woman, Vera.

Let's see... If Crono isn't revived, the Side-Quests aren't opened... Porre dosen't change, desert isn't forest... No invasion...

Belthasar gets to peaceful future, understands Schala's fate, builds Neo-Epoch (The Neo-Epoch does appear in the game in one point, vague as it may be), visits Lucca, tells her Kid's heritege, she gives her Time Egg.

Acacians still founded, and due to the fact Porre can't do anything, they attack Guardia.

I may be wrong, but I get the feeling you didn't think what would of happaned IF Crono never revived.

If I recall correctly, you can do every side-quest without having to revive Crono (I remember trying to have the 400 year reunion with Crono but never did because I do the side-quests before reviving him).

The Acacia Dragoons can't be found without Dragonians influence.

And anyway, how do you explain the Einlanzer discrepancy?

I don't know, maybe there is a human Einlanzer but it's just never mentioned?

Yeah, considering how the Frozen Flame was buried in underground Zealian Ruins. Maybe the Human Einlanzer recieved the same fate in CT\CC?

What about Serge being a blonde Regiorra musician instead of a blue-haired Arnian fisherman? and being able to use magic? and what about Regionna/Regiorra/Gherbuele's existence? and Magus being there and not in CC? and the FF being buried in the El Nido sea in CC instead of the Zealian ruins?

And why would the CT party (without Crono) not do the side-quests but destroy the Black Omen?

Surely, Some ideas from RD were changed to suit CC.
FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! CHRONO CROSS IS NOT A SEQUAL! KATO EVEN STATED IT HIMSELF. It's a new game to like tie in CT and CC, and a bit of RD.

On the point of RD. It's not a dfferent dimension to CC or CT. Up to the point of after Kid meets Magil after the fire, the dimensions split 7 from that point. That is why there are different scenarios all with Kid and Magil. Everything pretty much before the fire happens in CT and CC. Except for a few things which cant be confirmed like FATE, Lynx being a different Lynx, etc. But this may prove that in RD, Lucca's house may have been burned earlier.
And btw, Named like Regonia, Grezenbul etc. may have been prototype names for Termina, Marbalu, the Demi-Humans place etc. It's like theres a guy caled Zoroban or something that's supposed to be Dario, and that guy in the cell, I always prosumed was Radius.

Also, In RD, what they call "Magic" seems to be more elemental. Only by coming in contact with something that can unlock it (like the sunflower), You can't have the CT magic. Acctually, in any time that Serge could use magic, it never succeeded.

And to whoever asked, The Sunflower is only found in one scenario, in the others, Kid doesn't learn magic.

El Nidan natural hair-color, as he states he only met Kid in Regiorra.

Quote
and being able to use magic?

Oh, yeah, Serge can use magic real well.

Quote from: Serge, the powerful warlock in RD!
I barely miss a set of claws as I dodge a quick attack. As it lands and starts
to turn around, I take advantage of the opportunity and chant an old spell of
mine, hoping to get the incantation right...
However, nothing happens!

Quote
and what about Regionna/Regiorra/Gherbuele's existence?

Small villages and capitals who don't appear on the World Map. I've already established elsewhere that all society on earth dosen't span four cities, but there's village who just don't appear on the world map.

Quote
and Magus being there and not in CC?

In CC, Gaspar could of looked around and say: "Nope, she's not in a single time period! Sorry I coulden't help, Janus." In RD he can say: "Well, would you look at that! Her reincarnated self is about to go into trouble in the eleventh century... Go and help her!"

Quote
and the FF being buried in the El Nido sea in CC instead of the Zealian ruins?

Maybe it was under the sea in the crumbled ruins of Zeal? They don't have to be intact, you know. 1,400 years is enough time for an underwater chamber to collapse, due to possible earthquakes or w\e...

Twenty Years after the events in Chrono Trigger, a new set of adventurers are preparing for a battle that will surpass even space and time...

-The long-awaited sequel to one of history's favorite adventures...

What are you gonna do, argue with the packaging?

No, he's gonna agree with Kato, who's a bit more reliable then the NA packaging.

Thank You.

Kato stated in an interview that he thought of making a sequal to CT, but also though that would be boring. So he decided to make up a totally new game that tied CT and this name game together, and it was called Chrono Cross >.>

Well, the exact quote is that he didn't want to make a sequel in that he didn't want a rehashed version of CT with the same characters, battle system, etc. In terms of plot, Chrono Cross is the sequel to Chrono Trigger. It totally fits the basic English definition of such, and no single person can change that through a contradictory quotation. But anyway, Kato was simply talking about rehashing stuff. He wanted a new world with new characters and new themes, all while still expanding on Chrono.
