It would be very interesting to see how life developed after 1000 A.D.

Isn't that what Chronopolis is for?

Good God, CT doesn't need a remake, it's perfect. Sure I wouldn't mind to see a beautifully done 3D CT with orchestrated versions of the original music...but I already consider CT to be perfect, and would MUCH prefer to see a new game for every reason there is.

Is this really a question? A remake of a perfect game, or a new Chrono game? -_-

Good God. (Yes I love 1776)

A team WAS trying to make a remake of Chrono Trigger 3D, actually. But I think Square emailed them and told them to cease their progress due to copy right laws or something >_>

I have to agree with Mystik though, CT does not need a remake. I'd much rather prefer a new sequel.

Oh yeah.

That'd be hot.

Actually I believe there were two teams working on a graphical overhaul of the game, using different engines I think. Both got C&D letters =/.

Old news. But Squeenix was right to do so, even if i wanted it to.
People, we all know our views on remakes from that thread...with V...

...I don't get it.  Is this posting the petition, or is it somewhere else?  I'll sign it if I know where it is.

Neat...

It was actually from this petition idea from ZeaLity that we got the idea for our current petition for the CT Novel Project.  As this project has been very serious for years (and as organized as I can pull together), we've received some *unconfirmed* information that Square knows about it, is watching it to see where it goes, and does not wish to shut it down.  All very interesting stuff.

ANYWAY... For a bit, we toyed around with the idea of combining the Novel Project petition with at least one other petition to gain exposure.  Of course, this one, being without any formal organization that I know of, was one of the considerations.  In the end, we decided to go solo with it, mainly out of concerns that Square may not like to see combined petitions.

But, after having seen this topic (and no, I haven't read all the posts), I'm curious if any of you feel that it would be beneficial to combine petitions, such as the Novel Petition with this Sequel Petition.

Actually, Square-Enix would lose the intelectual property for CT if they dont contest it. So basically, square doesnt want to lose the ability to make a sequel if they want to.
You could of course, wait a hundred years until the copyright runs out.
Unless squeenix renews it, your fine.

The Compendium isn't currently going to do anything like this, but the CT Remake petition is going.
