Gah, tough to decide...
There are a few that really make me feel, y'know? That call of childhood innocence and nostalgia and yearnings for a simpler time in my life. Chrono Trigger ties very heavily into my childhood. I obsessed about it, even after all of my friends moved on to other things. ((I had notebooks filled with sequel ideas and stories and unrealized dreams of more to the Chronoverse. This lasted into high school and even college -- to this day I have about a 70+ page document detailing a potential sequel storyline, break it down scene by scene and room by room). Frankly, it sucked, but man, I poured hundreds of hours into fantasizing about Chrono Trigger sequels.
So a few of those songs that pull at my heart strings and make me feel alive like I was back then...
Morning Glow (there's something about this song... I still think of it when I get up early in the morning and hear birds)
Peaceful Days (I long for the idyllic lifestyle this song represents)
Light of Silence (special shoutout to this tune -- I think this is one of the most underrated songs of the entire series -- it is mystery incarnate, if you ask me)
Robo's Theme (so catchy, despite being so close to ol' Rick boy -- very upbeat and makes me happy)
Singing Mountain (despite being unreleased, I remember finding the midi of this and the other unreleased songs in 1996 or 1997, and I kept it on repeat for *hours*)
Sealed Door (just a golden tune that combines intrigue and mystery within the whole confines of the Zealian story archetype)
and of course...
Epilogue - To My Dear Friends with Outskirts of Time (a fitting finale; both to bittersweet memories and pushing me onward to the new future)
