A 2-D rougelite that is an open world sandbox, that has a skilling and crafting system similar to Minecraft and Terraria. It uses a Chrono Trigger inspired battlesystem, with new elements taken from many other games.

Yes! I am paying an artist to make a sprite template for me, that matches Chrono Break!

My goal is to make a modern Chrono inspired game that carries over the time travel feature, from a new perspective. Using dimensions and other cool ideas.


The RPG Maker game was a prototype, I am going to use Game Maker. If anyone wants to help DM me. This project will get finished.

The story rough draft has changed a lot.

I recently changed the main character to be a female protagonist. The old character, Aden, is going to be the wolf spirit. These characters will never be in the same party most likely, but they are the same person. The story is cool like that.

Nice! When you say that matches Chrono Break, what do you mean? Like the Chrono Break concept that came out on YouTube a few months back? Or do you mean just generally Chrono-esque?

As for help, I'm not much of a coder but have created a few sprites here and there. I'm mainly a writer. It sounds like you have that area under wraps, though, so I'm not sure how much help I could realistically be. Either way, I'll be rooting for you!

Chrono break on YouTube. It's costing me $400 for a single sprite animated. I plan to sprite and need help with spriters, to add hairs and stuff to the game. So we can make unique characters using paperdoll.

Right now, I am using Game Maker - gonna try to have 7 frames of animation as a Kickstarter goal. But basically, the animation of the female sprite template has around 10 or so poses/animation states.

I could use a composer, a sound artist, too. Afilion is my friend who has worked with me for years. He only composes for finished games. So I do need a good composer still. I might not hire him for this project at all.

What is Silverdale?
It is a game set in a spiritual atmosphere, allowing traveling between dimensions - while in the 5th dimension, time stops. The world becomes dark and, more surreal. The player can change events in the past by making decisions in the storyline. We're trying to not copy Chrono Trigger, but offer a new experience using Chrono Trigger for inspiration.
