I would assume that you would gain an account upon the purchase of the Revolution where you can set up how you are charged for games. This account would be tied into your wifi/ethernet connection also, but you don't have to pay for that.

I'm hoping for the idea of "Revolution cards" as well, seeing as family online credit card paranoia reigns.

Same here, I misused a credit card, and as such, can't get what I want on-line anymore.

I find this kinda disturbing..

On media and on fanbase Nintendo's consoles are always ranked as "Childs console" when PS has been for "older" people.

and if Rev would really be for childs, how would kids purchase those games? "Mom, gimme your credit card, I'm going to buy game" How many mom/dad would give card for it? Other way would be paypal, but let's not even talk about it, as it doesn't look realistic.

The thing I've heard about Rev's chance to download games for it, is that it's only Nintendo's own games. Not any other parties. Dunno about it then, I might (and propably are) wrong. Anyone know anything about it?

EDIT: and if mommy would give her creditcard for purchasing games from Rev, it would propably be a big mistake, as most kids wouldn't really understand value of money, and purchase all games, or something. They'd play them for 20min, and start crying about "BOOHOO BAD GRAPHICS THIS GAME SUCKS". It would do the same thing as Mobilechats (from tv) in Finland. Kids have sent messages there all day, and when one message costs ~1€ (1.20365 USD) They've had few hundred euros to pay in month.
Anyone getting my point here?

You make an interesting point...perhaps if they're thinking of a younger age demographic, they can provide a limit on purchasing games per X days or whatever...? That would be annoying for the responsible adults, but at least it would save Nintendo from lawsuits.

Nintendo is not completely focused on the younger demographic, just stop buying into the media. Play RE4 or either Metroid Prime and then tell me those were made for kids.

Wow, two whole games, huh, SilentMartyr? And anyways, I don't know if people are saying that Nintendo is solely and completely focused on one specific age range...but it's obvious that it appeals to the younger demo moreso than the others. I mena, Nintendo's basically been turning into a 1st party gaming company anyways and nearly all of Nintendo's games are focused around the younger crowd. SCE has from the beginning targeted the 19-year-olds in all of us.

Well, I could start naming all of them if you want. I figured the most popular ones would prove my point. I don't see how they are focused towards the younger generation, so I have never really understood that argument.

I didn't mean that it's 100% for younger people.

But usually media does claim Nintendo more kid-console, not Xbox's or PS's.

Maybe parents ~25-35 years old will DL Chrono Trigger to their kids and force them to play it. :P

Yeah, the Media is always right.  I mean, just look at Dan Rather.  He was right on with the Bush National Guard story.  Oh wait, that was BS?

My point being is that the media sucks, don't trust it.  Think for yourself.

Oh yeah, one reporter is wrong about one thing that has no real actual statistics to back it up and suddenly all media is automatically evil.

Think for yourself, sure. But don't be so closeminded that you can't tell what information you're given is true or has any real basis and thus disregard everything...
