Magus is the one who pick up crono's pendant on the ocean palace?

When Crono dies, Magus was the one nearest to him, so is possible that him picked up the pendant and gave it back to the others while they were passed out before leave.

If we consider the sparkle that leaves Crono and comes to rest on the floor nearby to be pendant, then Magus gets warped out before he could do such a thing, since the sparkle remains near Schala afterwards.

That said, the pendant was already with the party before being brought into the hut, so something did happen to bring it over from the depths of the ocean back to them. Whether Magus or something else.

I've always been under the belief that Doreen the dream creature is the pendant.

The only time we see her speak in Chrono Cross is when the pendant (which is in the Astral pouch thingy) is present, and it logically makes sense.

So you would consider it was Doreen herself who warped the pendant out of the Palace? Or at least guided it back to the party after drifting out and into the ocean...?
