Now I'm way less skeptical. I never played Cross, but it seems like I will get to.

Should be noted Mitsuda was specifically inspired by Irish music for Xenogears.

Now granted, Xenogears is not on the leaked list, but a part of me can't help but wonder if collaboration with an actual Irish singer/songwriter means it could be a surprise Xenogears remaster instead.

Yeah, it's hard to say with the dates themselves - who knows, what leaked could have just been loose goals ser back in 2020 that have been long since delayed due to COVID or other reasons. But with two leaks now, and the number of games that have gone on the be officially announced, I'm really thinking the Cross remaster is real.

I'll admit, I don't preclude the Chrono Cross release on December as per the list. Just that it may be separate from this bit regarding AVA. After all, even if the list is right, it doesn't mean it was a full list, no?

But well, at least we will find out soon.

I see what you mean. And thanks for that Gematsu/AVA link. That sounds really intriguing whether it's Chrono related or not.

More rumors. I think that guy has a mixed track record in the world of video game rumors and leaks though. I believe he claimed Persona 5 was coming to Xbox, which so far has not come true.

I'm in the camp of not holding my breath until there's something concrete. Not that I'm being a naysayer, we just know SquareEnix's track record with the Chrono series -- been down this road too many times and ended up disappointed.

Whatever happens, happens...

For what it's worth, a bunch of major video games websites are reporting now. (Though they're all citing the same source.) Still, makes me happy to see Cross making headlines in 2021.

I'm trying to keep expectations tempered too, but I always wondered/hoped  they'd start going down this route once they ran out of PS1/PS2 Final Fantasy RPGs to remaster....

With the additional rumors of an Another Edex x Chrono Cross Remaster collaboration event... things are looking more likely every day!

I'm still going to continue remaining cautiously optimistic, but the fact that the data for the collaboration is there, well, it certainly makes me feel excitment.

I cant post link (curently working and almost all gaming sites are blocked on my workplace), but on the Resetera forum there are two threads dedicated to latest rumors, and member NateDrake (some kind of insider) wrote that something is gonna happen with Chrono Cross.
He thinks that is more than simple port (like FF8 remaster) and polish devs Forever Entertainment (Panzer Dragoon Remake) are connected with CC remaster/remake.Someone else pointed that somebody from Forever E. was recently tweeting about CC.
Some members hoping for remake in style of Trails of Mana asked for further clarification and Nate Drake answered that during this week he will maybe have more info...
Really looks something is gonna happen this week, fingers CROSSed.
