fxar99, there's so many things wrong w/what you just posted, it's hard for me to know where to begin...
First of all, let me just say that that's a bad analogy. I mean, the way you're saying it we should just dismiss the Masamune2 sidequest in CT because you don't have to do it. I mean, while the Bend of Time is in the natural flow of the storyworld-you can access it, it is there-Serge waking up w/the Time Egg in a New Game+ just isn't canon. I guess I agree then that the entry shouldn't say that Serge defeats the Mystic Warriors (as that is New Game+ material)...but still...
Secondly, and probably most importantly...Are you kidding? Finding the connections in the games no matter how small or insignificant they may seem to you is what the Compendium is all about. Absolute Chrono knowledge, not just most of it but not all of it because some of it is just there for the hell of it..."it's all just game mechanics" is not the motto of the Compendium.
