Where is Lavos after 1999 AD?
« on: September 11, 2005, 12:47:41 pm »
I began to wonder after 1999AD ,where is Lavos?! On 1999AD we only see him come out off the core, then start destroying things. But after there is no trace of Lavos. Did he just go to some other planet?

It is believed that Lavos is Death Peak is 2300AD. Which explains why the mountain appears in the future and on that piece of the island

You mean, you believe that Lavos became Death Peak?

Interesting theory.

Although, if Lavos was contained in the Black Omen...how did it get out of it to wreak havoc on the world?

I thought Zeal called apon Lavos to fight you. So Lavos could still be in the core.

In 1999, Lavos claims this area, and reigns from high atop Death Peak.

This is a quote given by Belthasar, when you visit him at the Keepers' Dome, in 2300AD, to get the Epoch.

According to this, Lavos is not the mountain itself, but manages to fit its giant, spiky-demon-turtle-king-of-Hades-self on top of that mountain...

Maybe because he's gone off to a new planet... Or he's dead for his spawn to eat him or something...

Lavos can't go off to another planet. That messes up the entire life cycle of his species. My theory is that Lavos fires off his genetic material in the form of Destruction from the Heavens and his spawn grow, and the empty Lavos Shell becomes a part of Death Peak or something. Or maybe he went back into the core, curled up, and died.

Yeah, I'm a nut. :D

...

In other news, follow this link to get a map of 1999AD:

http://home.earthlink.net/~letrimh/1999map1.htm

Lavos erupts on the eastern side of the world,
where I'd say Medina is.

The continent/island in 2300AD where Death Peak is, is the same continent/island where Lavos erupted.

Compare with the map of 2300AD (link):

As for what happens to Lavos, your guess is as good as mine.

*sigh*

I'm still just so miffed that we can't visit any of the cities in 1999AD or
actually walk around the whole map of 1999AD in the game...

I refer you to the topic About Death Peak..., where we discussed the geography of where Lavos appeared in 1999 AD and where Death Peak exists in 2300 AD. (I made my first two posts in that thread  8).) But yes, Zenning, you are correct in saying the two are geographically the same.

They weren't as big as Death Peak though.
